About iPeace

Imagine a living organism made of people, regardless of their nationality, sex, religion, race or politics; imagine millions contributing and sharing freely their energy, talent, creativity and love; imagine an organism that keeps pouring money into initiatives, projects and causes that its members believe can help bring about peace; imagine an organism that can save lives: this organism is iPeace.

iPeace is a hub for serious peace initiatives, a platform that actively supports, advertises, promotes and aids in financing them. It offers a forum where its community debates, discusses and educates each other on what projects to support.

People fall in love with iPeace, giving it their art, ideas and connections. People feel ownership in iPeace and actively help it to grow and spread. Based on the profound belief that peace comes from within, iPeace spreads 'virally' to one's immediate environment, creating pockets of peace that connect to each other and grow. Eventually its network will cover the entire world.

This site feels like home for the 'soul', the real me. Like a dear that yearns for the running streams, wrote the psalmist, my soul longs for you. What I preceive intuitively is that this is the kind of space that I need for inner healing and sharing that wholesomeness with other who long for justice-peace.

I pray that this new year 2009 will be not like any other before; that this will be the Lords year of favour to all the members and their loved ones.

I would like to share with you the following document which I believe addresses and proposes an answer to the need for humanity to unite "so that the voices of millions who yearn for peace can be heard as they call for the end of war and all forms of violence."

Presentation given by Rafael de la Rubia at the Launch of the “World March for Peace and Non-violence” at Punta de Vacas Park, Mendoza, Argentina, 15.11.2008.

Friends. From this highly inspirational place, surrounded by tall mountains, from where the keys of “active non violence” and “universalist humanism” were given, we are launching the World March for Peace and Non-Violence.
During these last few weeks, we have presented the WM at the Humanist Forums of Europe in Milan and of Latin America in Buenos Aires. In a few weeks we will also do this in Nairobi, Kenya, where we will launch the March for the African continent. So far, these have been restricted actions. Today we begin a wider dissemination.
What has happened so far with the WM can be summarized in a few words. There have been two stages. In the first stage, almost one year long, we studied whether it was possible to carry out such an enterprise. There we decided that not only was it possible, but that it was also necessary and urgent to do it, given the indicators presented by world events.
In the second stage, of preparation, in which we are now, we decided to gather whatever was needed to carry the March forward and we began to make it known. Today, after just four months, we can do an initial and short evaluation.
I will speak about the initiatives that are arising from the people and the organizations that are joining this March.
They are initiatives which arise, in most cases, from the social base. Many of them have the profile of something rather new, innovative, out of the ordinary. With strong characteristics and a lot of imagination, they often carry a playful and festive tone....
I am just going to share a few “highlights”, since to mention it all would be too long.
There are many activities in educational centers: marches, living symbols of peace and non-violence, the introduction of the themes of Peace and especially of Non-violence as new academic subjects in the school curricula. In the province of Malaga, Spain, 800 schools will start working one year before the march and after the students want to join the passing of the WM through the capital city. In other schools, they are changing contents in order to study geography, fauna, flora, minerals and cultures of the countries the WM will pass through. In some universities, the creation of a post-graduate course with modules on Peace and Non-violence is at an advanced stage. In one country, from the Ministry of Education, they want to pass a decree for the whole state, so that on the day the march passes, all teaching activities will be developed around the themes of the WM.
Sports associations are joining: walkers, marathon runners, cyclists, along different routes and, in some cases, between different countries. There are cases of the highest representatives of those sports, winners of the Tour de France, famous football players, having endorsed the March. Football clubs have also joined, as is the case of San Lorenzo de Almagro in Argentina.
There will be many local marches: in Sardinia they will pass through all the towns of the island and, in Russia, they will walk through the cities where Tolstoy and Dostoyevsky lived and wrote.
Several mayors and municipalities have already joined. They are offering food, lodging and transportation for the WM, in some instances for hundreds and even thousands of people. We are working in several different ways with city authorities: some will declare the WM of interest to the city, others will organize marathons with the themes of Peace and Non-violence, yet others will name streets or parks after the WM when it passes by.
In several countries they will declare the WM of national interest.

You know how sometimes you just find something at the perfect moment? Meditation, prayer, introspection and just plain wishing from a sincere place in your heart...and suddenly you are put in contact with something that just feels right. I know that peace begins with my own heart, with my own focus on that experience within. If that is my focus, then that light shine out with the concentration of a laser beam. It is attractive because it is recognized by other hearts. There is work to be done, and I know there are so many who have been doing this work in the world, trying to help others and meet other like-minded people. This is not a fairy tale, this is not just a dream. This is a pivotal point in my life, and perhaps in the life of this world. I am glad to be a part of something that is growing to address important issues with love and integrity. Peace IS something we focused on in the 60's, in our own sweet and innocent way. Now, we are grown, and yet the longing is stronger than ever. I am open to contributing my energy and talents, which include 25 years of Marketing and Communications experience, to projects of value. I also would like to connect with anyone else who has a passion for working with horses and people to bring them together to help one another heal emotional and psychic wounds. It's based on something called Equine Assisted Psychotherapy.

Let us dream about a new world order, where everyone respects, helps and loves each other. Let us be actively involved and WORK to realize this dream. Let us change ourselves to change the world.
Yes, we can!

Absolutely inspiring! I believe we can each do something, however small, as one. Together, united, who can imagine the great outcomes?

How about a group that asks therapists, yoga teachers, meditation teachers, energy workers, life coaches, etc. to donate a minimum one hour of their time per week to provide free services for some one? This could be an hour a week of psychotherapy, a massage, meditation instruction, or it could be a free group offered once a month or so.

I am an intuitive, an Indigo, or sensitive, and feel strongly that the time is upon us NOW to unite strongly in a big way and in complete unison to powerfully visualize and replace the currently operating consensus reality with a much better one which will carry us through the zero point of 12/21/12. We are at a critical juncture in time now and there needs to be a massive global shift in consciousness taking place right now and towards 2012. Having participated recently in Lynne Taggart's PEACE INTENTION EXPERIMENT, that model seemed so relevant for us all to consider, it has been adapted into a universal INTENTION MEDITATION that is available to anyone wising to focus on any issue or concern privately or in conjunction with others, as requested. Included is the ability to Light Candles which burn for 48 hours but can be relit. Anyone wishing to consider an INTENTION MEDITATION can send a request to abc4all (at) gmail (dot) com and in the meantime can look here

So well written and so important. Just reading something that is inspiring is a gift. People have little time to look within themselves. We are all so wrapped up in other things, that the largest problems, the important ones that are right there in front of us, we pass up. We have to sit down, listen, and then start in on understanding. This was all so beautifully written, and a joy to read. We have to keep being reminded of the very basis of our lives, that has to do with caring enough about others, and that others is the whole world. Not just our own little worlds, that we protect in a tight little circle. Peace, it sounds like something from the 1960's but it has been a problem for years and years. Where do we start? How does one start? Right here, and now, together.
