A Prayer for Friendship on Eid Al Adha-the day of The Friend

May our leaders learn the lessons of Abraham the common forefather of many here..whose obedience and commitment is honored on the today's holiday by Moslems around the world.

Abraham. whose whose tent was open to all Others.
Abraham who would give of himself totally to do the will of G-d, the One who has created us all in His image is Al Halil...the Friend of G-d.

May we learn from him the lesson of friendship.
Friendship, reaching out to the Other beyond us, is G-dly...and is a gift from G-d.
