SEASONS OF CHANGE
Winter wails her branches stiff
Escorting icicles and snowdrifts
Limbs draped battling bitter breeze
Snowflake medley sure to appease
Spring whispers as her destiny looms
Luminescent light through gossamer blooms
Beckoning birds! Their singing erratic
Perched on plush twigs, it's foliage emphatic
Summer dances to an array of hues
God sparked kiss of sweet morning dew
Warm sunshine smiles upon my skin
Makes me embrace this skin I'm in
Autumn swirled leaves upon my cheek
Orange-red, golden crisp under feet
Surrounding totem trunks with majesty
Chocolate bark, not unlike me
Like each leaf falls into new season
God created diversity for this reason
If a tree knows when it is time to change
We as people must know the same
