Welcome to The Consciousness Research Discussion Group


This is a non-sectarian group dedicated to simplifying the sharing of the latest discoveries of the essential life force in all human beings and the potential for consciously evolving One’s individual awareness itself, as it pertains to the development of homo sapiens’ surfacing into Homo Spiritus; True-Self-Identity.

The majority of the materials in this group will come from diverse scientific backgrounds including, but not limited to, quantum physical sciences, mystic testimonials translated into many art-forms, and contributions from other institutes committed to consciousness research and development.

We encourage the scientific investigation of; spirit, consciousness, mind, psyche, thought and physicality, for enhancing One’s understanding of self, Self and reality, as well as for supporting One’s applicability of the principles and proven methods for simplified resolution of both personal and socially oriented balancing of heath, wealth and overall well-beingness; especially as it relates to such issues as comprehension, communication, evolution, religion, insanity, psychic gifts, and all other types of phenomena and expressions of mind and matter.



It is my clear understanding that the path to experiencing peace outside of our selves is best stepped upon with the gentlest of stance from within our Being.

Once the path, 'Of The Peace Which Already Exists Within', is found, it is easy to feel our way through to greater peace and greater peace. With the simplest practices it gets easier to know whether One is moving closer towards greater peace or further away. Moreover, the means of getting back on track, in alignment with peace, becomes more and more clear.

It is my contention, which is shared by many, that research into; spirit, consciousness, mind, psyche, thought and physicality, not only makes it easier to get further faster, but makes the attainment "Of The Peace Which Surpasses All Understanding" assured.



The structure and content of the materials posted on the front page in this group will change as your feedback and suggestions surface. Please help to bring about the content and arrangement which serves the highest benefit of all involved. Your interests and contributions are greatly appreciated.

Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor - How it feels to have a stroke


Neuro-Anatomist, Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor, had an opportunity that few brain scientists would wish for: one morning, she realized she was having a massive stroke.

It happened in a momentous unfolding that she was able to witness in full awareness -- as she felt her brain functions slip away one by one, speech, movement, understanding -- she studied and remembered every moment.

Dr. Jill recovered to tell a remarkable story about how the brain works and to explain how her massive stroke taught her about how consciousness works and the meaning of life.


This is a powerful story about how our brains work and connect us to the world, and to one another, along with how we define ourselves as humans through the attention we give to a habitually imbalanced focus on just one style of brain activity.




Jill Bolte Taylor (born 1959) is a Neuro-Anatomist who specializes in the postmortem investigation of the human brain. She is affiliated with the Indiana University School of Medicine, is the national spokesperson for the Harvard Brain Tissue Resource Center, and is the consulting Neuro-Anatomist for the Midwest Proton Radiotherapy Institute. Her own personal experience with a massive stroke, experienced in 1996 at age 37, and her subsequent eight-year recovery, has informed her work as a scientist and speaker. For this work, in May 2008 she was named to Time Magazine's list of the 100 most influential people in the world.

"My Stroke of Insight" received the top "Books for a Better Life" Book Award in the Science category from the New York City Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on February 23, 2009 in New York City.
