The power of Tibet lies in its spirituality - it is a beacon of peace to all the world, and so the world supports it, and defends it. Almost the whole world is in support of the Dalai Lama because they seem him as so peaceful and loving.

Unfortunately because of the conflict between China and Tibet, China does not experience that love and peace so strongly. Tibet is fighting against China, and in so doing it is actually weakening its own power base.

The power of love and peace that Tibet has so much of is best wielded by bringing others in, and being greater and more loving than them - when someone experiences that profound love it opens their heart, and makes them love too, and with love violence becomes very difficult - human nature is against it.

So what I would suggest Tibet to do is to shower China and the Chinese with compassion and understanding - those qualities that the Tibetans have so much of. Every time Chinese soldiers enter tibet they should be greeted with flowers and feasts and celebrations in their honour. Every time there is a talk between representatives of Tibet and China the Tibetans should seek to listen and understand, and not try to make themselves understood at all. They should show the Chinese how good is their way of life - let the Chinese experience it for themselves until they are addicted.

Then when the bonds of love are strong enough a gentle request would be enough to receive everything they want.

Tibet has the opportunity to show the world the power of love - to be the start of a new era of the power of peace.
