Thanks Renee for this invite. I feel privileged to be a part of this wonderful collaborative movement of like-minded and like-hearted individuals. It's most interesting to read other people's points of views. We may well come from different backgrounds and have different beliefs but if our hearts and minds are in the right place then inevitably we will all be working for the same purpose, i.e good and positive outcomes for everyone, and not just ourselves.

My faith has given me the strength to believe in and practice compassion, forgiveness and charity. I'm duty-bound to regularly help the poor and needy by giving a fixed amount of all my wealth and assets annually. However I don't just do this out of fear of Divine retribution but as I feel and know that this is right thing to do for my own salvation as well as others. God has been very kind to me, so the very least that I can do is to show my gratitude to Him by helping as many people less fortunate than me.

Many people have done various things in the past that have made them famous or infamous, and have subsequently left 'great' legacies for humanity. However, I think it's very difficult to judge whether they were totally good or bad, even in hindsight. Alexander Pope (1699-1744) said that "To err is human. To forgive is an option if it is deserved". Former US Attorney General Ramsey Clark also once noted, "one person's terrorist is another person's freedom-fighter". It all depends on your current point of view and circumstances as well as past experiences. The harsh reality of poverty for so many in the world, whatever the causes may be, is responsible for so much more unnecessary pain and suffering. I'm sure that many of us are doing what we can to alleviate that suffering, however small or insignificant it may seem, but together we are all stronger and better. Gestalt theory suggests that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts Perhaps this is yet another test of life for all of us to consider.
