We are active volunteers from all over the world who welcome new members to the iPeace network. We use a pre-written message - you do NOT write your own. We work from 5 minutes to a few hours at a time several times a week or more often when we find it necessary. We don’t have rigid schedules and all help is much appreciated!
FOR NEW MEMBERS of the WELCOME TEAM
A team member will be happy to help you get started. Here is what you should do:
FOR ALL MEMBERS of the WELCOME TEAM
Once you have proved that you can use the Standard Welcome Code, here is what you should do:
This is an active group. That is why any member who remains inactive for one month or more, without justification, may be banned from the welcome team. Do not be hurt or alarmed if you were banned from this group simply because you were not active. We do that because it is the only option available to the Administrators of the group that Ning.com offers to enable the removal of inactive members. We wish to maintain the 'working' aspect of the group. If you want to take an active role in the group again just contact a member of the Administration and your membership of the group will be reinstated.
SPAM: As iPeace grows, spamming will also unfortunately grow. Without the Welcome Team actively checking new members pages, we can not identify all of the spammers. Please report suspected spammers here Reporting this to administration or in the Members Spamming discussion below.
Thank you all for your valued contributions...

In India we have this age old saying-Acharya devo bhaa, athiti devobhava
which means everyone treatsa teacher equivalent to God, a visitor the same.
welcome is written on the front doors of every house.
Maria: Thanks so much for everything you do!
Yesterday we had a scammer who posted many adds,
but thank goodness that one was deleted before they could continue.
Had another who kept changing their profile & kept posting nasty comments on my profile, but thank goodness that one was also deleted!
Maria:
If I'm not sure if it's a genuine member or not,
then I wait to see their posts, before welcoming.
------
It really is so sad that there are so many online scammers,
who make money from this kind of nasty behaviour.
Maria:
It is so sad that people have to resort to scamming,
especially a peace site.
~~~
As mentioned, this problem can be avoided
if the membership setting is changed.
~~~
But you & all members who care,
will go on reporting, blocking, deleting them.
~~~
I must admit though, that it seems rather over-whelming at times, mainly due to my Internet connection issues, but I post when I can.
(:-)
Maria:
I read new members profiles/check out their links, before welcoming, so that I can get an idea of their motives.
This of course does not always work,
because scammers are so devious.
*****
It's been incredible how many scammers join iPeace & hurt/upset many often/open many profiles daily.
This could of course be avoided if the joining setting is made private, so that profiles can be checked first.
*****
Because I care, I report/delete/block/warn others.
You & others also do this regularly & I thank you all.
(:-)
