More about me
We would like to introduce ourselves as a very special organization, which is dedicated to promoting the diverse cultural traditions of India. Although there are dozens of cultural organizations, there is none that we are aware of that brings such a wide range of artistes and skills together. Artindus provides a platform where singers, writers, dancers, musicians, actors, playwrights, choreographers, directors, crafts persons and the like can meet, exchange ideas and cross-pollinate.

Artindus believes this would infuse a multi-hued vibrancy into our different art forms. It is indeed primarily to be a crucible of ideas, a forum for exploring exciting, innovative concepts, and a forum, which provides a new perspective on familiar themes as people from different streams come together in discussions and workshops. It is not a closed circle: Artindus is an open invitation to any one who cares enough about art and culture to join our endeavour.

This is one part of Artindus’s objectives. The other is to ensure, there is true understanding of the rich and varied heritage that permeates our art forms. Artindus believes that culture is a two-way process. It believes that it is as important to nurture the genius and skills of the artiste, as it is to cultivate a fine eye and ear for the arts and to promote an understanding of the intricacies of the different art forms. Artindus will do its best to spread awareness and appreciation among people. Therefore, it has put together the best talent it can find in various disciplines to organize lecture-demonstration /workshop in schools, colleges and cultural organizations, wherever, in fact, there is a keenness to understand the finer nuances of our manifold arts and crafts.

But this is not intended to be an offer restricted to the few. Artindus will endeavour to introduce the richness of our performing arts and traditional craftsmanship to the less privileged sections of society, such as street children and remote rural communities, to mention just a couple. This philosophy will colour and shape our activities to a large extent. Artindus is about networking and offering artistes a rostrum. While we would expect the patronage of established artistes, it will offer space encouragement to young performers who believe quality comes from not talent alone but from dedication too
