When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?: I am a born activist

So what is it?: I want to create a peace center

What must we overcome to achieve peace?: Religion

More: The PEACE*TA*GON PROJECT: will be a place, like minded people and groups can coalesce about Peace, Sustainability, and Human rights. This place needs to be an international iconic facility that will attract and communicate to the world peace, and which will by its design, and function, facilitate peace among all countries in the world.

There needs to be a place for delegates from all countries to have standing representation, all of which will have permanent membership and equal representation. Be design, the facility will revolve on a regular basis so that friend and foe alike will find themselves face to face and be encouraged to interact and solve problems. The facility will be broken into broad areas for specialists to meet in Think Tanks, on certain topics to make recommendations to worlds political bodies. Five bodies of will have permanent facilities: 1. nuclear proliferation, 2. starvation/nutrition, 3. disease prevention, 4. world sustainability, 5. International Dispute Resolution.

There will also be five non permanent subjects that are elected by the body, that will be housed on less than permanent basis, which will be determined by the Peace*Ta*Gon body.

There will be a Chairman, elected by all the countries, big and small alike that will serve a 4 year term. There will a Senate, where each country will send two representatives, and a congress that number is representative by the number of people from each country, much the way the Congress and Senate of the US operates.

The body will take on any issue that is raised by any country, which shall take a vote on that issues, and make a formal recommdenations to the worlds leaders.

This body will be a political body, that has teams of people that go out to the world, and effectuate change based on the mandate of this body.

This body will operate on a democratic basis.

This facility will be massive, and iconic. The bay area will be the home to the National Head quarters. with sister facilities, smaller in scale and scope located through the world.

The simple mission of the facility will be to aggressively promote world peace and preemptive conflict avoidance, human rights, earth resource sustainability, health and nutrition and democracy.

I need help in organizing this concept and raising money from the members of this group and others. Please contact me if you or someone you know could be helpful, and or have ideas.

The above are just thoughts and are these not rigid. It is only a starting point to facilitate a consensus and is just a starting point to get a discussion going. The end result of what this facility does, how is it organized, and the overall mission will be decided by majority vote of those involved in the development of it.

The bottom line is since so much of our society is organized to promote war we need to organize to promote peace. I think a peace center is a good place to accumulate the power of existing efforts into a narrow point to work to make change...like a magnifying glass.

Can we change the world?: Definitely
