When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I feel the pain in the world
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Violence, Human Rights, Other
So what is it?
Food
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Other
More
Food is the cure. We cannot end the violence in our homes, our communities or our world until we end the violence on our plates and in our economic policies. Food binds us, penetrates us and we must use all efforts to create a thriving just food system and that will lead the world out of darkness. We are our own obstacles. Peace is not something you find; it is what you are - it is not the space between two wars; it is understanding that war is unnecessary. We have a choice.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
About me.
I am fifty-five, worked in many fields, studied many more. I am a writer, artist, and strategic thinker with a unique twist of practicality and uncanny creativity. Expertise in research, design, creative problem solving, advertising, marketing management, political campaign management, industrial/retail sales.

Not much to say, most everything has been said by someone, somewhere, sometime. School never got in the way of my education and I am a strong proponent of deep understanding through reading comprehension and self-education. I believe I am a better helper than visionary leader. I can research the problem, create alternatives and figure out how to make it happen and organize the process. I know what I know and that isn't really much considering the scale of the whole. If you have an idea or a project and need help in working out the kinks... drop me an email and I will see what I can do to help.

PHILOSOPHY:

* Reading is a basic tool in achieving a good life.
* Learning to read well is imperative for true education of the self.
* Never let education get in the way of creative thinking and problem solving.
* Pursuit of personal well being must not harm others or the environment.
* Behavior that threatens the well being of others, threatens the well being of all.
* Balance competition and cooperation.
* Competition for personal gain weakens the community.
* Never take more than a proportional share of community resources.
* Everyone has the potential to lead in new directions and lift the collective consciousness of the community.
* Peace is what we must become.

Hello Carlton,
I have not read any direct translation of Notivich's work. I have read many commentarys about it. there is a retired proff of th U of Oregon who reviewed the critiques and did not find them scholarly. Paramahansa Yoganada sites another source I believe an Indian braman who went to the Tibetan monestary and transcribed the same verses in the 1920's. so I beleive it happend. I will send you a review copy this weekend. I will email you when I get home later today.
Peace,
George

Well Carlton,
I like what I read here. As a self educated person I agree with you. As a school teacher I know what bullshit public education is, truly public indoctrination that kills the desire to learn and the impluse to question authority. I have written a book that sums up a certain part of my self education. I have sent it to academia and they do not respond. I have sent it to a few great minds and they liked it. I self published this book and I have very little success in selling it. I do have faith that the message is important especially to the American people. It is a wake up call to who we truley are as a culture over a 1600 year period (following our language) and a call for change. Please visit my page her and my website thistribeofmine.com Let me know what you think.
Peace,
George
