When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a born activist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights
So what is it?
Peace is walking the path of sharing responsibility for ourselves, others and our world in open dialogue with each other and taking action to make our small steps matter.
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Other
More
We are often afraid of conflict because we believe it to mean violence and we exclude and alienate those we are in conflict with in order to make sense of our righteousness. Opening new ways of enquiry of the 'other' can lead us to great understanding and sharing new possibilities of working together for a better world for all.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I am a practitioner from Northern Ireland and I'm involved in developing a residential peace centre in Coleraine which seeks to promote peace between people and between people and the earth and overcome the difficulties of our journey through focussing on our values and ethics in how we walk the walk and talk the talk.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
Yes

Thank you all for your welcome and your positive messages of support. It is truly inspirational, affirming and humbling. Of course, I am just the guy that gets to tell you about us and what we are trying to do. There are are many more people involved than me and we are just picking up the reins from the many people before us who have already done so much to make this dream real.

Peace between people and between people and the earth

In 1985 Northern Ireland was in the grip of our violent conflict, tearing apart our society in sectarian division. A small group of people volunteered their time and dedicated part of their lives to developing the idea of having a residential centre which was based on a holistic approach to non-violence. This idea was originally created by the "Peace People" from Belfast who wanted to create a centre to which they could bring groups of all ages… Continue

"Relish the moment" is a good motto fifa 14 coins, especially when coupled with the Psalm 118:24:"This is the day which the Lord hath, we will rejoice and be glad in it." It isn't the burdens cheap fifa 14 coins of today that drive men mad. It is the regrets over yesterday and the fear of tomorrow. Regret and fear fifa 14 coins are twin thieves who rob us of today.

I read about your work in Northern Ireland, I like it and feel that it is an inspiration for me and many that could help to create a centre for Peace, human evolution and to help people work their differences. Ecuador has a past of non-violence but economic disparities are creating the political ideologies to attract people as a mean to create the idea of fight and division among social classes. I believe that is through unity and solidarity that change can be more effective and will not separate us as a country.
Thank you for the inspiration,
Maria
