David,I see Your somewhat of a quandary. It's just like Wrigley's Doublemint gum / Double your pleasure of

went over to "Peace for the Soul" when it was announced that iPeace was closing June 30, as I needed something Peaceful for My Soul and it kinda did, but I had to come "Home"and help take care of My Mother Peace social network, when She needed help. It's just like, when Your own Mother, is in need of help, there is usually, only one family member, that can & does provide that help.
Luckily for Me there are veteran family members and some newer, good Spirited family members, providing that help.
Ipeace was seriously ill and "Time will Tell" if She fully recovers, but for the time being She is being cared for, as iPeace was there, when I needed help, in a tough time in My Life and I will not desert Her, for whatever Her fate is.
"Missing Your Words of Wisdom", so come visit and add Your words, which is "Medicine for the Heart, Mind & Soul"and for the well being of

Lovin You! "Happy Trails" & "Happy Peaceing" wherever that might be and by My words I think You can tell.....

Profile Information

When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a pacifist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Poverty, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Hatred
More
We stand for Peace first and foremost and always have done so. And that implies that we can never support those who would impose their will upon others by force…however justified their cause.

Hatreds have built up over the decades and even centuries often based on little more than intollerances for other cultures, religions or rights to live on a particular bit of land. The open hand of friendship cuts across such hatreds. An open hand contains no weapon. An open hand signifies that I give my heart to another in friendship and in love.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I have always been a pacifist...I was the only child in my school who refused to join the cadet corps...but my views started to change following the murder of my step daughter in 2005 in the London Bombings. It was this event that showed the futility of war and hatred and set me upon the road to seek peace and reconcilation between the peoples of this world. It has led to meeting many from different cultures and religions and finding that we are all brothers and sisters, all deserving of acceptance, tolleration, respect and above all of love.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
Yes

My views about the need for people of this world to unite, accept and value each other is well documented on many sites on the internet. Most will have read my Candle4Tibet page and know that in 2005 my Step-Daughter was killed in the London Bombings. It was this event that spurred me on to join a number of causes for the furtherance of peace and understanding in the world. Never a supporter of the phoney wars that Bush/Blair involved the UK with it was ironic that their actions directly led to the death of someone so precious to us.
What happened to us on 7/7 was the start of a journey into discovering what Islam really says rather than what some claims it says. It also started a process by which I have become friends with many like minded people of all religions including Islam round the world. I sense an intence yearning from people to be done with violence and war-makers and to declare Peace.
John Lennon sang 'Imagine there's no war'...I say don't image...let's make it happen. When Politicos come knocking for my vote I ask them first they tell me their views on peace...if they support war out they go...no vote.
I only vote for peace, the whole peace and nothing but the peace.

The Pacifist

You wonder why I’m a Pacifist
when you see such grief and pain
you wonder that I’m a Pacifist
with so many sights like these;
as the missiles deep booming,
roar and crump, flash and burn
killing your friends at your side
their pleading eyes, and rasping
last breath before their eyes dim.
And still you wonder I’m a Pacifist.

Is my mind really so weird
when I would see it all end?
I would not deprive the sick
the medicines that they need
nor would I murder the young
nor orphan, nor widow them,
nor would I devise explosions
to bereave whole families at once.

So who is the crank here?
Who peppers the clusters,
those bright infant deaths;
and who forms the craters
where once a car drove by,
and whose indiscriminate
destruction is seen here?
And who fills the graveyards
with weeping and wailing…so
who is the crazy one here?
And you wonder I’m a Pacifist!

PRAYER FOR PEACE

Lead me from death to life,
from falsehood to truth;
lead me from despair to hope,
from fear to trust;
lead me from hate to love,
from war to peace
let peace fill our hearts,
our world, our universe,
peace, peace,
your peace,
now.

I hope the best for you David Califa...
what you started will continue onwards
whenever people meet to talk peace
then ipeace will be there working the dream
guiding our steps along the way
and showing people a better way
than all this killing and hate.
You have paved our footpaths
firmly laid with slabs of love
and we will follow those paths
till war melts and peace reigns...
all because of you.

The Importance of ipeace To Us

Like many I was sad to see the editor of ipeace resign and wondered what was happening to our site here. Then suddenly it was gone with only the message that the owner had taken it off line.

A hole appeared in my life. A space. A nothingness.

During the waiting silence of the Internet ether I wondered what ipeace means to you all.

It was started by our visionary leader who also took the initiative to light… Continue
