Conditioned thinking. Each individual is born into a cultural and social conditioned "shell" that makes a being believe people are different and are a cause for discord based on these conditioned differences. With continued education, meditation, and reflection, a being learns that all beings have been born into a similar situation, and therefore, are conditioned just as they are, but with different trappings.
The essence of our being is peaceful, however, most people do not live and exist from their core essence of peace. Consequently, the majority of the world's population are living in a conditioned state of existence not "realizing" their true nature of peace.

Can we change the world?

One.org is another organization I feel is worthy of membership attempting to globally unite individuals and put some pressure on politicians to commit to changes for poverty, hunger, and education. I don't know if at heart, I am any different than any other individual who yearns for a peaceful world that recognizes the limits of political barriers.
