Children grown up learning to despise peopkle who are different. Despite the 9.00pm watershed in the UK they see too much violence on the TV which is a bad influence. There
is still racial disharmony around the world and those of us who believe in peace must accept that to change this we need to start educating the children. With many families it would not be possible to rely on their often biased parents - but perhaps their teachers could teach them about peace instead of conflict & prejudice. As Martin Luther King said a long time ago now "I HAD A DREAM....."
The most important starting point is for all the people around the world who want to achieve peace to decide on HOW. Each group has its own favourite ideas on the method. It would be so helpful if we all united and agreed on the "HOW"

Married for almost 48 years with 4 grown up daughters and 6 grandchildren, I would like to help achieve something important like peace in my time. We really do need to do much more to get our message accross. I think we could use the United Nations as a platform on which to build but we need to convince our ambassadors from each country of the fact that people all around the globe are anxious to achieve peace and get those people who should be representing our views on our side against conflict & war and all the misery it brings. I appeal to all members to help achieve this small stepping stone!
