More about me
"Let me start by saying this, because I think sometimes people look at me and see I am young--perhaps they dismiss my outlook on the world as naïve or uniformed: I understand the so-called "fight" for peace is nothing new. And I have no illusions about the difficulty we will face as we work to realize an eventual future in which war is a distant memory and in which our children grow up in a socially just society and world. I understand peace will not suddenly appear-that to this point countless people have worked for peace and that in the future many more will, too. Still, I believe peace is possible. It is not my naivety, rather a deep recognition that peace is a necessity, that social justice must be a reality, that has me working for this seemingly distant goal."
(From a speech I gave last October)
