Profile Information
When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a born activist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Fear
More
I believe that fear is the root of hatred, which is the root of prejudice. Fear is the root of greed. Prejudice and greed are the roots of economic disparities. Remove the fear, and the whole illusion crumbles, leaving the reality of peace. As for religion: most spiritual paths can either dispel fear or instill it, depending on longings of the traveler. But I believe that fear is spiritual in origin and ultimately has a spiritual solution.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
The first half of my bodily life has been a process of re-discovering the divinity in myself and everyone and everything around me. Each step has led me further from fear and closer to peace. In the process, my family and I have been poor and not-so-poor, religious and not so religious, and have been blessed by breaking bread with militarists and pacifists, atheists and fundamentalists, those who seem to have it "all together" and those who admittedly do not.I think I am very close to a place where I can move out of the classroom and begin extending peace to the world. I have relinquished the impulse to see as enemies those whose actions seem to disrupt peace. Not even fear is an "enemy", but an illusion gently to be relinquished. In stillness, I await the call that will tell me how I can help.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?

I know everyone here is contributing in their own way to the Peace of the planet. I believe it is increasing exponentially, and we are well on our way to seeing Peace Prevail on Earth. But it has to start with each individual experiencing and being Peace, and then living it and encouraging all.
I wish you a Spirited week and many peace*full encounters.
I just read your profile and think it's very commendable that you are able to listen and learn from all walks of life, no matter how opposite their beliefs may be from your own. I think this sense of stewardship is essential to overcoming a lot of the problems in the world.
I'm just supporting the musicians! I do play the clarinet, saxaphone, and am currently taking piano lessons as an elective at college, but I do not write any music, sadly... I wish I could say I did! =) What about you?

I'm not tech-savvy enough to figure out how to add "We Are One"...seems it needs to be converted to a different (MP3?) format
