Love is in the air - inside, inbetween, and amongst.

Profile Information

When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a 'born again' activist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights, Our Shrinking Freedom
So what is it?
disconnection inside, inbetween, and among :O)
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Fear
More
Fear is the main reason to react agressive towards another being - and fear is caused by many different situations inside, inbetween, and among. I believe fear comes from the other options listed above (religion, economic disparities, prejudice, hatred, greed) + it comes from fear of loosing power, position, and direction - and :O) fear comes from fear of not knowing not controlling not ....
and so on - but writing this leads me to say that fear is in all of us as a healthy natural phenomenon - we want to survive. The difficult part in our (humans) case not being able to cope with this fear and let it take control over love and sharing and actually common sense. Its my opinion :O)
Can we change the world?
Definitley
More about me
Vibration is always surrounding us and I can choose how to affect these vibrations - I believe that every single person in the world has this power to affect their surroundings.
In these days communication is very strong, and a very influential vibration-system that needs a good deal of positive influence, and i don't mean preaching. Im into the trust that we all have this common sense inside and support it by acknowledging it. There are no problems in differences if we don't choose there to be so. Realizing this is a first step towards greater communication - love - and peace.
Promise to respect others and refrain from spamming?
I'll do my best
:O)

Love is always present, in the world, in nature, in us. What changes is our realisation of it.
Sending you a hearty smile from nature, dear Souline.
love without end, Sandavala

Blessings to you, Souline =)
This is such an interesting discussion. Yes, you are right...pain is only part of the journey, and maybe its a small part. I ask myself, am I in pain in this moment? I look around, and everything is fine. In this moment, there is beauty where I am.
My point is, many times there is less actual pain and hardship in our lives than it seems because the human brain focuses on, holds, and replays negativity so much more than the positive memories. Or, at least that is the tendency. I think we can change that pattern through realization and by relishing the beauty of each moment....appreciation of all of the moments that are free and clear and full of life.
Now, I am almost 48 yrs old and married 22 years. I did not come to this focus of understanding without life experience. My father has had dementia (Lewy Body Disease) for 15 years. The last five years of helping mom and sister to care for him at home have been challenging.
I am sharing this with you because living with this illness has forced my family to live in the moment. I had heard these words many times in my spiritual studies, and thought that I was working toward "living in the moment". But, until things got to the point where we were in crisis after crisis with Dad's health...and we were exhausted and had no time to think about the past, could not handle one thought of what the future might bring, and had just enough strength to make it through each moment....did I know how beautiful one moment without fear, worry and hurt could be. And when I experienced that one bit of laughter and hope, it was golden. I don't know if I can relate in words how precious life became when I was able to open my eyes to it. The truth is ... beauty is always there. Do we focus on it, or do we focus on our burdens?
Sure, I get angry, sad, hopeless. I let myself feel that ...in that moment .... they are pure emotions in that moment, and I have a right....no a duty....to express them and move on.....move on to that next moment, which could hold ......anything....

I guess i have used the word "moment" quite enough, lol. But, let me give you one more thought on the subject. Positive intention can transform a Moment into Momentum which can become something Momentous. If I think of the future at all. I envision the grandest paradise of love on earth. I think of myself vibrant, happy, smiling, with a heart full of love, and then I include the world in that space. It is the highest prayer I can offer.

As far as the fear of death, don't be hard on yourself. Everyone alive is in that same boat. Due to traumatic circumstances and chronic illness when I was younger, I found myself in a fearful, panic-stricken state when I was about 30. At one point, I realized that I didn't want to live that way. I saw a news story about an old actress who had died that day at the age of 75. Something clicked in my brain. I thought, "I am 30 years old. I could live to be 75 like this woman, and that would be more than twice what I have already lived! Why should I be thinking about death now? It might not happen for 45 yrs... or more." I made a conscious decision to root fear out of my life. I was sick of it, literally. It had made me physically sick, and I was ready to be well.

In both examples above, I came to a very low point before I could change my thinking patterns. I hope by sharing, I can help someone to realize their situation sooner than later.

You asked me, "How do we deal with our human nature?" Very simple, LOVE it.
Accept everything about yourself as perfect, and never judge or blame yourself. If you utter a harsh word, it was needed at that time. Do not judge that you were less than perfect or think that you made a mistake. Your brain is not big enough to understand the whole story, your eyes cannot see what God sees. We do not have the whole picture. If you feel strongly that you do not wish to repeat an action because it does not contribute to the greater good of all, it is your right to expand yourself to the next focus of awareness.
Holding a negative thought and replaying it has one value.... that you learn and expand and connect with your heart.
Accept everything about yourself for the miracle that you truly are. Love yourself, and see yourself as a shining light. Meld your spiritlight with the physical body. Envision yourself as golden perfection.
In the moment that you accomplish this, include the world in your light.

We are One, luvkat

Just read what you wrote on fear, its a good one and can only say i agree. Im also intrested in the bit you wrote on vibration and how you choose to affect on those!
I used to be more into this kind of thinking but my education was very very very clinical based and i lost touch with all this. Im now slowly starting to find it again!
Have fun Kat

That's okay, Souline...you can speak freely, lol...i am not easily ruffled. But I do not exactly see those words about the way to peace in the article...are you talking about "Divine Empathy/Divine Healing"? The portion of that article that I found especially helpful was this excerpt:
"In this I accept another's expression, another's pain, another's loneliness not to weaken myself in any way but simply to re-focus and remember that through sadness is joy birthed, through pain is healing birthed, through loneliness is Unity, is Oneness, birthed. While I do not race toward them I embrace these unknown sources of emotions and thoughts."
I think it is so important that we do not identify with emotions or become stuck in them. I believe they were meant as a tool, and that as we experience them without holding on....we come through crisis and experience epiphany.

Looking forward to hearing from you,
luvkat
