Photo-mdl, 3/13/2009 - I boarded the Larkspur Landing Ferry and sailed on the San Francisco Bay last week, and took this photo of Angel Island. Although the Island has been restore, there was a time in history where it held people captive until being cleared and received immigration papers. Angel Island has a history-check out the steps towards a Peaceful solution and how it now holds a place in History. PS- I was on the Hornblower Ferry last October, 2008 when a fire threatened to burn up the Island. Knowing there was nothing I could, the Mill Valley Film Festival, Honored Actor's, Film Producers, the crew, and others watched and filmed for two hours, an out of control fire. Mother Nature is truly amazing! She has her own peaceful solutions. Just look at the Island now and notice how the sea, wind and rain helped to sprout new plants. We can use examples from Mother Nature, and apply them to restore the fire in our own souls, or where we live. Mother Nature lets nature take its course, and we can too! http://www.angelisland.org/immigr02.html

Thank you for taking the time to write to me.....It has been a HUGE problem for so many centuries........I have found the answer to be being at PEACE within myself.......I had help finding that place of Eternal Light within. If you are interested: www.wordsofpeace.org I agree that setting boundaries is a government concern-----perhaps if we could find a way to live here all together then NO dividing of boundaries will be necessary. When I walk around feeling the Peace within me, it somehow creates others to want to be able to access that also. As to my name, YES my father named me that, but I have always felt it's because I needed the MOST reminders to be JOYFUL...........When I was a child, I was very sad. After I stumbled upon this way to find Peace within, I am very joyful----but I still need reminders. It seems to me that the war is between each person's heart and mind inside themselves. That war in me has nearly been won. My joyful heart is the victor----I encourage everyone one to ask for (even demand) to be shown that place within. IT'S THE BEST SWEETNESS I HAVE EVER TASTED!

joy to you----I can tell that you care deeply about finding Peace for all----When I am connected with the Peace within, the unrest of others is irrelevant-----I know they, too, can find that Peace. All I can do is shine my light brighter so that it can be seen.....then people will look for it, too.........

Shalom: You say that you don't think one person can make a difference----but you have already made a difference in MY life and apparently a whole lot more people who I see leave you messages and dialogue with you-----I definitely want to make MORE of a difference. Someone once told me that you will be successful if you raise one child successfully----I guess Mrs. Lincoln may have felt that way or O'Bama's gramma. I also have raised my children well, and as a teacher and a nanny, I have also affected other people's children---------and.................

I have a question......as a Jewess in the United States I am agonizing about the Israel/Palestine conflict. What can I do to help? The cultures seem so similar in so many ways with slight variations on the pronunciation of some words.......I'm not trying to be naive. I know that there are many on both sides who see the similarities rather than the differences as I do. How can we bring that more to the forefront???? Do you know about the organization "Dialogue?" It has been successful in many situations, but it could probably be put into the mainstream more??? On so many issues, I have only answers, but in this particular situation, I have such a huge question:
WHY?
Please help! I have known Palestinians and Israelis---they are all wonderful people. I, of course, know that Hamas is angry men trying to destroy, but there are so many more of us wanting to bring Peace.......help me know what to do.........is there something?
joyfully
