Day 29 of the Season For Nonviolence: "Forgiveness"

Greetings, family!

Today is Friday, February 27, Day 29--and the start of week 5--of the Season For Nonviolence. The thought for today is FORGIVENESS.

When we forgive, we do not condone hurtful behavior. When we realize that there is something within us that is more important than this hurtful experience, we are free to let go of the past and move on with our lives. In doing so, we open our hearts to the humanity of those we forgive.

As we forgive others, we are… Continue

A Mediator’s Diary

When I wanted to write my mediation experiences in Turkey, I didn’t want to write an academic article. Firstly, that’s not fitting to my poet nature. Secondly, mediation itself, is a never-ending Road like Life, and I wanted to describe the full scenery with its colors. Of course, this is my Scenery.

Before Mediation: A Dream within a Dream

What have you been doing all those years?

I have been dreaming,

What have you been dreaming?

Well, dreams…

"Limitations live only in our minds. But if we use our imaginations, our possibilities become limitless."

~ Jamie Paolinetti

"Today's problems cannot be solved at the same level of thinking that created them."

~Albert Einstein

Imagination is something that tends to be expected in children, but frowned on in adults as not being practical. Imagination, however, is the key to creativity. When we develop an…

put your problems in lake not in glass-source www.spiritualsoul.ning.com

Once an unhappy young man came to an old master and told he was very sad and asked for a solution.

The old master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it. "How does it taste?" the master asked. "Awful," spat the apprentice. The master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the lake. The two walked in silence to the nearby lake and when the apprentice swirled his handful of salt… Continue

"SHINE YOUR LIGHT * SHARE YOUR WISDOM"...Message from Archangel Michael Transmitted Through Ronna Herman

"SHINE YOUR LIGHT * SHARE YOUR WISDOM"

Message from Archangel Michael

March 2009 * LM-3-2009

Transmitted Through Ronna Herman

Beloved masters, it is a time of accountability, a time of testing, and it is decision time. Each of you must decide whom and what you will believe: the doomsayers, those who have dominated and controlled you for thousands upon thousands of years, and who have kept you enslaved in… Continue

An Exceptional Night’s Anecdote

The fragrance of the night flowers whetted moonlight’s milky soft buoyancy. It shone on me without prejudice like the serene Peace .The lonely night’s darkness swelled the silent beauty of my bliss as hidden nature held more hopes underneath its shroud. A tranquil breeze moved a few leaves to rustle under my feet. I was not alone; I looked up and saw myself gazing down. My blues got fused with the ether and created countless flickers in the endless canvas of awareness. The nocturne seemed to… Continue

beach at sunrise

Hearts are given and received

Like precious gifts the Soul retrieved

From Spirit's sunrise, divinely fashioned,

Magentas painted, so impassioned -

Purples invade the glowing sky -

Fireworks that cease and die -

As Seagulls circle in their Sky -

And surfers grow strong wings and fly.

Spindrift eats my frozen toes -

As deep within my Heart, there grows

A symphony of endless… Continue

Our Earth?

Greetings Family, in the Anishnabe language, which is the largest North American Native linguistic family, there are two ways to say the words "our" and "us". There is an exclusive and an inclusive "us". So for instance, if you say "Nitakinan" it means "our land" in an exclusive sense, meaning this is the territory of "us" people who live around here. But if we say "Kitakinan" or "our land" in an inclusive sense, it means this is the territory that all living beings within it are… Continue

Day 28 of the Season For Nonviolence: "Listening"

Greetings, family!

Today is Thursday, February 26, DAY 28 of the Season For Nonviolence. The thought for today is LISTENING.

Can you stop what you are doing and thinking, and take time to truly listen to the feelings behind someone’s words to you? Being fully present for the conversation and interested in what that person is saying is a practice of nonviolence.

A component of Marshall Rosenberg's "Nonviolent Communication" involves listening with compassion. The… Continue

"When the heart is at ease, the body is healthy"

~ Chinese Proverbs

"For a community to be whole and healthy, it must be based on people's love and concern for each other."

~ Millard Fuller

In the center of our essence, we carry the sense and memory of perfect health - our natural state. When we adopt a healthy attitude, we learn to care lovingly to all the needs of the body, mind and emotions in sintony…

Questions for Kiva (or you or me)

A couple of months ago, I talked with David about writing some articles for iPeace. I suggested a theme of peace vis-a-vis business. Since I've been deeply immersed in building a social investment platform, with an entrepreneurial tool set, for the past 2 years, which is designed to "improve socio-economic conditions world-wide" (read: set the conditions for world peace), my market research has led me to study many worthy companies, efforts and business models. I suggested to… Continue

Service to My Community and World Community

Thank you Lana! I see the Peace Clinic as being so important to serve (any) community that all the thoughts come rushing up and I do not know where to start! We are meeting once a month, on a Saturday only for two hours. We have had two clinics and the response is phenomenol from both the practitioners and the clients. As our volunteer base grows, I see us expanding our hours of operation.

My vision for a Peace Clinic is a safe place for people to explore the realms of inner peace… Continue

Little Blessings for my friends - a healthy body and mind is a peaceful one...

Below it the textual portion of my latest newsletter... Peace begins in our own hearts and minds... If we are unwell, we'll we be angry, more apt to respond negatively to what appears before our nose... Below is an intro to my understanding concerning body/mind... enjoy..

gull song #2

to love is to cherish the Soul's green seas -

and tender on gentle, crave -

The Spirit's spindrift, white, foaming, swirling protect us -

til we, free yet wet-winged, pause, dip and join

the lonely and potent rage of the tides.

and whether i leave to the sea's long rustling,

or whether the silences spin me to you -

came your rush that quieted tides -

and terminal meanderings, while deep in your essence i slept -

hushed by the breath of the tides… Continue
