The Dalai Lama says that meditation is the cure for every problem. That seems a bold claim to make. When we consider the various small and large problems in our lives, it doesn’t seem that meditation could resolve them. What can sitting in silence, counting our breaths do about the pain we feel in our bodies, or the fear we experience when we face death, or the lack of purpose we sometimes feel, or even the bread we baked that did not rise as it should have? How is meditation a solution for…

"The Other Person inside You"
As he stood and looked silently but intently into the mirror
He soon began to see another image arise in his soul..An
ugly image..He already knew he kept on chains..He so badly
hoped would never break..Allowing this inner beast to unfold..
For he knew everyday..When he awakened to begin his day..
The first place he would need to check out..Would be where
this inner beast of his..Would…

Such a Short Time...
By Estelle Vaine Goulet
It was such a short time
Together, we two
Such a short time To share
We were young, with care
For our little ones, there
As we strolled through the
Out-back of time
We ran through sun-filled meadows
And chatted down
Soft Summer lanes
We laughed and we cried
As we shared our lives
Together...still
Such a short time to remember
For a friendship that…

Try to be, only to be. The all-important word is "try". Allow enough time daily for sitting quietly and trying, just trying, to go beyond the personality with its addictions and obsessions. Don't ask how, it cannot be explained. You just keep on trying until you succeed. If you persevere, there can be no failure. What matters supremely is sincerity, earnestness; you must really have had surfeit of being the person you are; now see the urgent need of being free of this unnecessary…

YOU are never to complain of your birth, your training, your employments, your hardships; never to fancy that you could be something if only if you had a different lot and sphere assigned you. God understands His own plan, and He know what you want a great deal better than you do. The very things that you must deprecate, as fatal limitations or obstructions, are probably what you most want. What you call hindrances, obstacles, discouragements, are probably God's opportunities. Bring down your…

One of the best preserved copies of The Book of the Dead (known to the ancient Egyptians as prt m hrw 'Coming Forth by Day') comes from 'The Papyrus of Ani', written in 1240 BC. DOVES OF PEACE.
One of the most recognised symbols of peace is the dove.
Its origins are from the story of Noah and the Ark.
When the rains that flooded the earth stopped pouring
down, Noah sent out various birds to see if they would
bring back any sign of land to his boat.
He was anxious to begin life again on dry pasturage.
One dove eventually returned carrying an olive branch.
After World War II…

LIFE
Life is a gift of God
given not in years, but a day at a time.
Today
is the day the Lord has made for us,
and He planned it to be
the most important day of my Life.
Yesterday
is gone, never to return. We must not worry about it,
but leave it in the hands of God.
Tomorrow
and all that it holds is God's secret and it's coming is not
assured.
Only Today
is our's.Each day, arranged by God with infinite wisdom
and…

The closer we get to peace within the harder the road becomes. Our experiences show us that this may be the hardest road of all to pass along. Some may find rocks and stubble, others may be hampered by boulders and mountains. It is not an easy road. When boulders stand in your way examine your heart. You may find the blockage is not external at all by any means but comes from within. Peace is attained from the inside out.

I think often on these networks
Respect is confused with hatred.... (or at lest contempt)
Like if someone keeps his/her moth shut....either because someone tells him/her to do so, or "hints" that....or it is out of fear, or out of respect.
Many times if someone is quiet it annoys others because then there is a "Weak Point", (why don’t you speak up, man!?) – but there might be reasons why one cannot throw everything open on the Internet, such as…

Well my Dear Boys and Girls, after fifteen months of walking the country, I have finally made it home. Here we are at the end of one road and the beginning of another, such is Life. A man once asked me, "Why are you walking across the country?" At the time i didn't know why, maybe it was just to stretch my legs or lose a few pounds. Well, I still can't tell him the Why of it, but I can most certainly tell him what I have learned from doing it. It goes something like this.
Starting off in…
