Pray...

Why are seas not tranquil
and skies so turbulent
when is it that the lion stopped roaring
and there was misgiving that peace has
woken from its slumber. why is it we abrogate
it into realms of vapidity, and honour the violent
why is agression, belligerence so preferred
and love deferred?

The dove is soaring
and plumbing depths of eternity
while we weep for mortality

Shout peace to the world
bravo, throw all the blood
into waters of depravity
so that we can play silently
with myths of creativity.

Pray a prayer of song
so that peace is not gone
and the white dreams are
not passing shadows,
but banish those gallows.
