Stephanie My friend, you are an amazing woman,human,friend,your presence HERE is a gift to us All ..THANK YOU!!
Also so is Gunilla,Hippy Al,David Gould..All of you that have left imprints in my heart,Soul,life,mind..over these past few years. None would have been possible with out this unique Peace network..and so many uniquely special people!

I am eternally grateful for ALL..I believe all happens for a reason,whether we understand it at the time (if ever ) or not. Good,bad or indifferent~ All puts us where we are supposed to be. Gives us the experiences we learn from and in turn can teach..that is those of us that use our minds,hearts in a positive way,that learn from each experience. Though some folks never do..for that I feel sad for them,to never truly grow,perhaps letting anger,hatred,bigotry,self hatred,fear,etc.. eat them up inside..never allowing them to see the truths of what is most important in our time on this Earth.
I think David Gould's comment said it best. Every reason to feel anger & hatred for the senseless loss of his daughter in a violent act..but instead He CHOSE to embrace his beliefs (that are also mine)

Yes, I am grateful..I am blessed that I too did not turn to hatred,allowing it and anger to eat away at my soul, due to so much abuse,neglect & horrific acts done to me in my childhood & in my life..

I CHOSE my path of Peace instead
I chose acceptance,Love,understanding,caring,kindness
I chose to look for the positives,turn negatives to positives whenever I can
I chose to change..ME ..first,this is an ever ongoing process & Not always easy to do.
Then I chose to do whatever/wherever I can to help others any way I can.

Yup, I checked my baggage at the door before entering back to ipeace,lol ..written in jest (but true)..I've been away to let go of any negative emotional "baggage" from all that has happened here,including the hurt and sadness I felt,any & all anger and disappointments in David C. It is all gone now my friends.
I hold no bad feelings or emotions towards him or anyone,okay perhaps a wee bit remains,but just a very tiny bit of frustration & disappointments.
It is up to us ALL now what direction ipeace goes from here.
Steph, thank u for another...

Yes, Gunilla.
My thoughts come out so fast, and my fingers lately do something different than they did when I started here. I write, and I delete. That too, makes me reflect.
I get closer to understanding what we are doing wrong, what we still don't understand that is at the core of our problems. I repeat myself over and over, mostly in my head....about the need for communication. And about how we do so so differently.

And I am thinking about starting a group about it, but I want to attract not just the better English speakers, but everyone. The need to understand is so real! Our differences are so vast. What I want and why is different from what you want and why. And it all comes from how we grew up, what we knew, what we had, what we wanted and if we got it or not. So complex....and so fascinating.

This has been like a veritable social experiment. How conflict get to us and how we as a group and individually react, when we feel threatened or something we love is....
If we just can learn from this history, about the group dynamic and our own individual behaviour in vulnerable situations, it was not all in vain.
On the contrary we will be one step closer to understand what is going on in the world out there, means one step closer to peace.
Analyzes and understandings leads much further than slogans and beautiful words

Everything happens for a reason...So maybe it was something here that we had to learn the painful way...to finally get it.
I just hope we did...

the mail was actually on my page...
and probably that was because I had written a message on his page.
I just wrote a looooooooooonnnng message to David on private email though, asking him to give lots of answers, like what you expressed down below. I even had stated YOU and your letter in it, Richard! You are right!
I am just trying to be as understanding as possible about the many many many various ways people communicate...and to make it all work by trying to get those various ways going in the direction we all would like....
One thing, we sure can learn a lot about people on a site like this!

Stephanie, you will know that this day is special to me and my family as it marks the fith anniversary of the death of my step daughter to Terroism in London. It is a good day for me to say that hatred can only destroy, eating people from the inside and that ipeace is about hope, survival and a future.

By turning our backs on all that destroys the noble human spirit and ultimately the humans themselves we have to build with compassion and forgiveness to create a better more understanding world, a world where respect for all people of all kinds is held in high esteem. We on ipeace have glimsped that such a world is possible and desirable.

I am glad that something like ipeace is to be kept on. ipeace has created linkages and connections between people who thought they stood alone. Instead due to the courage and conviction of one man and his vision we no longer stand alone. Today we are force in this world. Today we have a voice. Today we can dictate to our politicians how we wish them to conduct themselves. Today we say that war crimes cannot be swept under the mat...there will always be consequences until the time when there is no more need for war.

I believe in peace.
