Dear Peacemakers,
On Change.org, there is less than 1 day left to vote for the creation of a U.S. Department of Peacebuilding. This idea is currently in 11th place, but if it makes it to the top 10, it will be presented to key members of the Obama administration. Here is a brief description of the idea:
"The science of peacebuilding deserves a seat at the table when it comes to making decisions about foreign and domestic policy. The use of violence to resolve personal and international conflicts needs to be a last resort. The Department of Peacebuilding will build the institutional structures needed to help put peaceful means at the forefront."
This idea has been around for a long time, but is now gaining some serious momentum. If you resonate with it, let your voice be heard and vote now!
