WINDSONG OF LOVE

The wind came swiftly.......from a distant valley.....high in a mountain .....with the smell of the wildflowers woven within the sounds of her sacred song.....I could see her in my dream......hear her in my sleep.....my heart pounding as I tried to awaken......yet I dare not.......for I feared that she would be but another illusion... another false hope and figment of my imagination...where my lost heart searches endlessly for a lonely love forgotten....deserted and forsaken....by the very one I cherished the most....the aching of the wounds a permanent scar upon my soul....embedded in my minds' memory.....a disaster......catastrophic calamity of epic proportions.....

And then the wind slowly died down to a soft whisper.....a rolling melody throughout.......the smell of the wildflowers stronger now.....I could feel her footsteps on the well worn path.....I sensed her warmth as she gently drew nearer.....there was a calmness about her.....serenity.......my heart slowed down.....I breathed a deep sigh of relief and of fresh air.....the purity and cleanliness from her hair purging my spirits' melancholy...
my saddened heart swelled full again and free....uplifted by her essence.....her spirit......her presence.....

I awoke........she was gone, but I knew she would return.......it was a comforting moment.....realizing that LOVE was never really that far away from where my heart slept.....and that as long as I never lost faith....she would always guide me wherever I went......near and far......thick and thin.....good times and bad....so I wait........patiently.....for her return.........
