Dear all,
I think www.ipeace.me (being its creators or participants) is an outstanding example of a positive experience on the Web. I was wondering if you guys would you like to join OneWebDay stories contest. Please see more about OneWebDay below.
"OneWebDay (
http://www.onewebday.org/stories) Stories blog is already available to receive entries. This year apart from inviting Bloggers from around the world to write stories to share their positive experiences on the Web, OneWebDAy intends to ask
Internet voluntary Orgnaizations to write about what makes the Internet an extraordinary ecosystem for the people of the world to connect to each other. For instance a Privacy organization could be asked to write on the Privacy on the Internet and an Internet Standards organization could be invited to write a readable blog post on participative standards development.
Invitations are extended to organizations to write in.
Please write in and publish a story about how the web has transformed your life or the lives of a community you belong to, or the city you live in or your country. The 'story' could be on the theme of Digital Inclusion but coudl also be about any topic related to the Internet. The story needs to be factual but you have a choice to be businesslike, narrative or even poetic. The stories can be reflections of how the web has transformed people's lives, in the individual, political, economic, cultural and spiritual sphere.
Make it as readable as possible by including pictures ( original photographs or permitted photos from the Web ), may be even video and music.
The selected entries will be featured on the One Web Day portal. The best of the Stories will be featured on the One Web Day on September 22 and will get the One Web Day Journal Award.
To post your story, register by 1) create your username and 2) confirm email address ( as easy as 1,2,3 .. and it is not even three steps ) and post your story.
If you have further questions feel free to get in touch at stories@onewebday.org.
This was kindly sent to me by Sivasubramanian Muthusamy, who works voluntarily for OneWebDay.
