Why do so many Mexicans come to the U.S. illegally? What happens to the families and communities they leave behind? Director Roy Germano seeks answers to these and other questions in The Other Side of Immigration, a documentary based on his interviews with over 700 households in rural Mexican towns where 20-50% of the population has left for work in the United States. The Other Side of Immigration offers a perspective on undocumented immigration rarely witnessed by American eyes. Through an approach that is both subtle and thought-provoking, The Other Side of Immigration challenges audiences to imagine more creative and effective solutions to America’s illegal immigration problem.
This has been an ongoing issue in America.
