About FAAVM Peace
www.faavm-canada.org

The achievement of peace (pyeonghwa) refers to a subject partner and an object partner being one with each other. The Chinese characters for pyeong and hwa mean "horizontal" and "harmony" respectively. The subject partner does not come into conflict with the object partner, but harmonizes with it.

Peace carries the meaning of becoming horizontal and harmonizing. It cannot be accomplished alone. However, one should firstly be at peace with oneself in order to accomplish true harmony with others. Subject partner and object partner can experience joy and happiness when the vertical relationship is in unison with the horizontal relationship. Everything must be complete and satisfactory. Only then can we call that peace. An ideal must show spherical motion, not just stay within a horizontal dimension. It should have a three-dimensional nature. When we call someone an ideal person, he must have an ideology for the future. In other words, that person is not living just a two-dimensional life in reality, but, having a certain ideal, his/her life has a three-dimensional quality. An ideal cannot operate merely in a horizontal plane.

The world of peace has neither walls nor boundaries. It is flat, smooth and harmonizes in the morning and evening. Fathers, mothers, children, the neighborhood, the communities, the peoples and the nations would be in one accord. There would be no friction based on religion, race, colour, ethnic origin and gender.

The door to a world of peace free from conflict, tribal segregation or racial discrimination, an ideal world where God Almighty freely moves about will be opened on the day when the world's peoples and nations are shaken in their minds. Judging from all sides, it naturally follows that mankind should pursue one unified world of creation, as Almighty God's purpose for mankind and God Almighty should accomplish that kind of world too. We have to aim at one world of culture, sovereignty, peace and unity in our unfolding history.

The Global Outreach Ministries for Peace (GOMP), as the principal judicial organ of the FAAVM, works tirelessly to promote universal peace and unity among nations and peoples of the earth. The GOMP's activities are mostly focused on conflict prevention based on racial discrimination, religious conflicts, gender discrimination, social segregation and social exclusion. The GOMP also promotes and encourages intercultural understanding, transnational friendship relationships, mutual understanding and cultural exchanges between all the peoples from all different communities across Canada and among all the nations of the planet.

The GOMP also conducts specific and in depth research studies in the field of armament, disarmament, global security arrangements, arms race, and arms control, nuclear, chemical, biological and conventional weapon developments, as GOMP hopes to achieve its mission with the support of other international specialized institutions and organizations with same or similar mission.
