I met a man who was living in a housing program as he was homeless. We became friends and later more. He is a good man that fell on rough times. His journey started in Cuba where he longed for a better life, emigrated to USA in 1996. Life was good at first for him. He moved to Colorado for a new job. The company went under and he has not worked steady in over 2 years. I try to help him as much as possible. His language is sometimes an issue as people judge him as less than itelligent due to his English sometimes is inaccurate. But this is far from the truth, he knows more about American history and politics than I do.

Some people think I am a fool for allowing him to stay with me but he is too good for the street life. I am not saying that street people are not good but this life is rough. He does not drink much or do illicit drugs and is healthy.

What I am asking is any suggestions on how I can better help him. I thought WHAT better place to submit this than a forum for peacelovers.
