Of all the alloys used in tubing and pipe galvanized steel square tubing, few come close to comparing with stainless steel. Despite containing iron, the other elements that make up stainless steel keep it from rusting and corroding easily. Together, they also give it its incredible strength. In tubing and pipe work where liquids are constantly transported, there's a need for rust- and corrosion-resistant materials because frequent replacements are expensive and difficult. Repair work too is tricky and costs. Using durable metals is, therefore, much more cost-effective and even environmentally-friendly than depending on lower quality metals. In fact, there's no maintenance cost with stainless steel over its typically 50-year lifespan.

Stainless steel is ductile and extremely PE Spiral Pipe so it's able to withstand stresses caused by liquids moving under high pressure and damaging environmental factors. The two qualities also enable it to have thinner walls without losing strength so small pipes can be manufactured. Some stainless steel can be heated-treated to change its physical and chemical properties. This isn't a common requirement in small applications but certain industries have need for specific products in which case it really comes in handy. As mentioned, stainless steel is rust- and corrosion-proof. Not only does this make it useful in piping work but it also sees it used extensively in maritime applications and in settings where natural elements would otherwise cause damage.

Where certain other metals are only fit for a Galvanized Angle Steel of applications, stainless steel outshines all with its versatile nature. It's used in architecture, automotive bodies, rail cars and for building bridges, water vessels and even sculptures. All stainless steel is 100 percent recyclable. Most of the products sold today contain a high level of recycled content. For manufacturers, this translates into lower production cost while consumers know they have a way to safely get rid of old and useless stainless steel objects. In the greater scheme of things, recycling and using recycled metal means putting less pressure on the environment by saving energy, minimizing the use of raw materials and not adding to the trash problem. Now for the cons, which are a few, stainless steel can be expensive especially that of a higher grade. The upfront cost is also considerably more than some other metals but the long-term returns make up for it with virtually nil maintenance costs. If consumers are willing to meet this higher price this drawback is turned into an advantage.Another drawback of stainless steel and other metals for that matter is weight. Not every application can bear weighty components and not every consumer can afford to spend much on transporting them over great distances.
