Nike Air Foamposite “Timberland”

The Nike Air Huarache continues to take this year’s sneaker scene by storm as we’re treated with a new “Catalina” version. Featuring a suede, mesh and leather upper, we find the retro silhouette clad in colors of teal, orange and black. Moving down rests a contrasting white midsole and black outsole to round off the shoe. Upon first touch, you can instantly see there is a huge difference between the performance-woven upper of the 29 and the upper of other woven sneakers like the Nike Kobe 9 and Flyknit series. This woven upper is very soft to the touch and very flexible; something the Kobe 9 isn’t. Before I was even able to put the sneaker on my foot I couldn’t help but think about how the upper would feel around my foot considering it wasn’t backed by any type of Fuse material.

All questions were erased though once I slipped the 29 onto my foot. The upper fit like a glove. A flexible, lightweight, wonderful glove. And while the fit was the first thing that jumped out at me I couldn’t help but notice that the air Jordan 14-like collar height and shape felt great around my ankles. Now that my impressions of the upper are out of the way lets get to the goods. The Flight Plate. The Flight Plate felt amazing in the Air Jordan 28, the air Jordan 28 SE, and the Jordan Melo M10. It feels even better in the Air Jordan 29. The enhanced feel of the Flight Plate can be attributed to the use of a Pebax moderator plate, a tendril (small bridge between the Zoom Air bags), and Nike’s beloved Zoom Air.
