Beach babe AnnaLynne McCord wears hippie dress for a cruise along the coast on vintage orange bicycle

Having just jumped out of a plane for charity, she must have been feeling wild and free.

So AnnaLynne McCord hit Venice Beach, California on Wednesday wearing floaty hippie attire and preserving energy by riding a bright orange vintage bicycle.

The 27-year-old 90210 actress sported a beaming smile as she headed through the seaside suburb to have lunch with a friend.

She wore a loose-fitting long-sleeved grey dress for the outing, which was long at the back but fell dangerously short at the front.

This made things interesting for the star's bike ride, with the garment flapping about in the wind and revealing more than she probably intended of her undergarments.

But AnnaLynne did not seem to mind, as she wore a consistent beaming smile to ride through the streets.

The former Nip/Tuck favourite accessorised her casual outfit with a long olive green beaded necklace wrapped twice around her neck, and strode along the pavement in brown suede sandals featuring a Western fringe.

Her long blonde tresses flowed naturally around her shoulders, whilst her pretty face was shielded by an oversized pair of aviator style sunglasses.

She slung a ripped white handbag over one shoulder and stored any extra essentials in what appeared to be a black Chanel purse.

AnnaLynne is clearly set up for functional bike rides, with her bicycle featuring a basket lined with a turquoise and orange bag.

The model and actress opted for a laid back look, with a sweater dress, barely there make up and a pair of fringe trim tassels.

Thanks to Chanel's Paris Dallas collection, the Western trend continues to dominate the Autumn/Winter collections, with tassels, beading, denim and wide brim hats ruling the runways at Cushnie et Ochs, Alexander Wang and Mara Hoffman.

The actress ventured to Lompoc, California, where she jumped from a plane in support of 18 For 18: Project Rescue, an event aimed at raising $100,000 to benefit three different charities working to assist those affected by human trafficking.

AnnaLynne was supporting the Somaly Mam Foundation, as she did this time last year.

The star has worked with the organisation for some time, and in October 2013 broke down at their Life Is Love gala, revealing she wanted to end her life after being molested as a child.

'I was raped. I was abused as a child. This is so important to me. I was suicidal, I cut my arms up. I wanted to die. I had a bottle of pills in a hotel and I was ready to end it all,' the actress admitted to the audience.

She added: 'But something, I don’t know what, led me to Somaly Mam.'

AnnaLynne told a Twitter follower on Wednesday that she is heading to Cambodia to do volunteer work at the end of the month.

'I'm heading to Cambodia August 29th- September 6th,' she wrote on the social networking site in response to a fan's question.

The Dallas actress also made use of her Twitter profile on Wednesday to make a comment about the reactions to recent rumours that Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin are dating

She wrote: 'Ths is a problem w/our society... So many people r busy judging they don't stop 2think, 'Wouldn't tht b wonderful if they found love'' [sic]

The Coldplay singer - married to but estranged from Gwyneth Paltrow - is said to have been in the throes of romance with the Hunger Games actress since June.
