Cyber Monday 2014 The North Face Denali Fleece Jackets Womens White Grey

Every year, on the Friday after American Thanksgiving, the lines north face cyber monday 2014 seem to grow longer and start earlier. Twitter is inundated with photos of eager shoppers outside electronics stores with every passing year and YouTube videos surface of customers rushing past security staff and fighting each other for limited door-crasher deals. According to Hat Country owner, Amy Vandenstockt, "This is our twelfth year in a row running a major discount promotion on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Each year the promotion gets bigger and we are able to provide even more fantastic deals for our customers. We are looking forward to the amazing deals coming up this year and are excited to be able to offer free shipping to help our customers save even more money." Hat Country started in 2003 and has become the go-to online shopping destination for country style clothing and apparel. Compared to other online retailers, Hat Country has the largest collection of cowboy hats, cowboy boots, western wear, and has a wide variety western accessories. Shoppers have grown to trust Hat Country for their superior quality, excellent customer service, fast shipping, and their hassle free returns and exchanges, which during the holiday season extends all the way out to January 25th.

With the holidays fast-approaching and Black Friday only 2 days away, retailers (not to mention shoppers) are in full-on savings mode. And while there was once concern that Cyber Monday deals would destroy the Black Friday tradition, the 2 have seemed to only strengthen each other over the past few years, creating a holiday shopping frenzy that keeps shoppers coming back for more. So when did camping out in front of Walmart after a delicious turkey dinner become a thing? Crazy as it seems, when the term Black Friday first came to fruition, it wasn't in reference to a sale at the Gap. The origin of the name is twofold. In Philadelphia in the 1960s, "Black Friday" described heavy post-Thanksgiving traffic, which made things grim for the city's police and public transportation. The phrase eventually spread throughout the country pandora charm cyber monday during the 70s. It's also been suggested that the term was used among retailers to describe the point in the year when they finally stopped operating at a loss and started to be "in the black." In both scenarios, Black Friday represents the start of holiday shopping madness — massive crowds and traffic, all rushing toward early-bird specials and half-priced digital cameras. Since 2002, Black Friday has been one of the busiest shopping days of the year … and it's not showing any sign of a downturn. Last year, spending for the Black Friday 4-day holiday weekend skyrocketed with a record $59.1 billion in sales — a $6.7 billion jump from 2011.

Originally a holiday to celebrate being on your own, Singles' Day has morphed into the biggest day of online shopping anywhere in the world. Little known outside of China, here we take a look at where Singles' Day came from and how it became the retail holiday giant it is today: Singles' Day (or Bachelors' Day) oakley cyber monday originated in China as a celebration of bring single. It began life in Nanjing University in 1993 and was initially only celebrated by single men (hence the Bachelors' Day moniker) but soon female singletons joined the party. It was seen as a day when single people could celebrate with their single friends although some used the day to try and rid themselves of their single status by attending Blind Date parties. As Black Friday and Cyber Monday approach, a new Robert Half Technology survey suggests companies are becoming more lenient when it comes to letting employees shop online during business hours. More than one-quarter (27 percent) of chief information officers (CIOs) interviewed said their companies allow unrestricted access to shopping sites – an increase of 17 percentage points since 2012. Another 42 percent said they allow access but monitor activity for excessive use. Less than one-third (30 percent) of CIOs said their firms block access to online shopping sites.

Despite all their planning and research, only a third of Twitter users ugg boots uk sale strictly stick to their shopping lists on both days. That may be one reason why Twitter users spend 19% more than the average Black Friday shopper and 14% more than Cyber Monday shoppers. Among respondents who shop on both days, Twitter users averaged a total spend that was $700 more than non-Twitter users who shop on both days. Electronics and clothes are the top items Twitter users purchase on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. They visit an average of 4.6 stores on Black Friday. They also share what they score on Twitter: 18% tweet photos of purchases and 23% tweet about great deals they got. Follow the hashtags #BlackFriday and #CyberMonday to check out what shoppers are buzzing about in real time and how smart brands use Twitter to connect to these conversations throughout the season. It used to be all about Boxing Day deals and pre-winter holiday shopping sprees. But experts predict Black Friday and Cyber Monday are readying to usurp the long-standing champions as the busiest shopping days of the year, and companies need to be ready for the frenzied, pre-holiday shopping onslaught.
