W I I F M Peace Approach

All peace makers should take note of the following information.
Talking about peace will not achieve peace.
Wanting peace will not achieve peace.
Protesting for peace will not achiece peace.
W I I F M might achieve peace!
On this and many other Peace Sites I read so many nice and beautiful commentaries about peace and the dreams of dreamers but regretfully none of these hopes and dreams will ever achieve peace.

Please do not get me wrong. Talking, wanting, protesting and dreaming about peace are fine things that show there are people out there who care about peace. But none of those things will achieve peace.

Before attempting to stop wars and create peace, it is necessary to face up to and fully understand Human Nature and only then can you apply the correct pressure to achieve peace.

Human Nature can be summed up as W I I F M!

By now most of you will be asking what is W I I F M. It is simply "What's In It For Me". That is the summation of Human Nature.

Who makes war? The Military Industrial complex makes war. Why? Because What's In It For Them is Power and Profit. The only way to achieve peace is to change that equation by ordinary people bringing pressure on their elected governments to realise that war only profits a small segment of the population while bringing disaster to the majority.

Lets take a look at what nobody talks about in the same way as the Emperor's New Clothes. Nobody says that the collapse of the American financial system (and the consequent loss of sole super power ststus) is solely due to massive and unneccessary military spending. We American tax payers may never know how much America's ill conceived and disasterous "War on Terrorism" has cost us. The funding approved by Congress is only a fraction of what has been appropriated from other sources directly by the Executive Branch and diverted to the Pentagon. We do know that the Pentagon at its peak was using more oil than the nation of Sweden when oil was over $150 a barrel.
We also know that all the military vehicles in Iraq nose to tail would stretch from New York to Denver Co!

We will also probably never know precisely how much American Tax Payers money has been given as Aid without strings to Israel.We do know that it is the main source for Israeli military power without which they would long ago been forced to negotiate an equitable peace with the Palestinians and would not have been able to build all the Illegal Settlements that are a major obstacle to peace.

Where does W I I F M come in? The American Tax Payer must be made to understand that the reason he has lost his job, lost his home to foreclosure and is living in an America that has lost the respect of the rest of the world is due to the lack of peace. When they understand "What's In It For Them" then not only will they clamor for peace but they will ensure that their elected officials work for peace or lose their sinecures. Until that happens there will be no peace.
