CONDEMN the Israeli Attacks on Gaza and west bank

Israel is using a disproportionate force against Gazan civilians. After living under an Israeli siege for 18 months that deprived Gazans of basic necessities, Hamas fired homemade missiles and Israel responds by MASS PUNISHING Palestinians with F-16 raids. So far roughly 1400 Palestinians were brutaly murdered in 24 days, including 417 children & 108 women, 5340 injured.... whereas only 4 Israelis have died.

Palestinian kida can`t live normaly...For what? What it takes to live as all the world kids ?
I think they can`t because isreal want bigger place for his crime
Because they don`t leave thier country
Because they choosed honor
Because isreal wants allways to take from palestinians and never give them any thing.

Israel has done everything in its power to earn such a violent, disrespectful reputation worldwide. Right now, many Israelis are fighting back, side by side with other Palestinians who have nothing to do with any political party, which many visibly criticize. Now other Israelis have no real excuse to dismiss them, but most still ignore and abuse anyone who dares to speak out against the violence.
For decades Israeli PR has been trying to sell everyone and all the people around the world the idea that Israel has higher moral standards, that they’re fighting merely for their existence, that they’re the only “democracy” in the region when none are factually true.

Eye`s see whats going on on gaza and west bank for 60 years,
Ear`s hear the screem of the babies , womens and others
While the world looked elsewhere another week of DEATH ,SUFFERING AND MISERY

You see, for me the solution is very simple. Give the Palestinians back their freedom. Bring those wall down. Let them live in their own land and thrive. Stop treating them like criminals in their own land. I promise you things would be peaceful. Right now, the Palestinians have no voice, no rights, no freedom, no hope and they are resorting to whatever means they can to feel like they are doing something, anything to try to change things. Not all Palestinians want to fight anykind of battle at all. LOOK, you can go there to visit. You can go there to talk to people. It is not unsafe to go there anymore than it is unsafe for them to try to gain entry with a permit into Israeli territory. An Israeli friend is visiting my husband at his home right now eating with my family. You are wrong about it not being safe. They are not monsters. The wierd thing to me is I saw the Israeli soldiers acting like monsters and yet nobody says a thing.
Both the American and Israeli governments are exhibiting mean spirits. It is hearbreaking. I thought that we as human beings had more compassion than is being shown these days. I am so sad.
I am sad that the United States waged a horrible war on Iraq. I disagree with that too!
One last thing - It shocks me to see soldiers brutalizing children. The IDF is famous for that.
Regarding American soldiers,I also saw footage of American soldiers brutalizing Iraqis for no reason other that racism toward Arabs. I am sure you have seen and heard stories about this as well. This behavior by nations that should be leading the world by example is truly disgusting.
We are acting like Spartans! ugh
Gabby, do you ever feel guilty?
You see, I think it this is more realistic - checkout the link of why the wall was built, the reason is fear. Fear cannot be eradicated instantly, it is a long and painful process.

Regarding soldiers (both Israely or American), There is an indian saying: "I will not judge a man till I have walked a mile in his moccasins". I suggest you talk to one or maybe read some arguments made by soldiers - they are driven by fear too - since when in a battlefield you see so many horrors, it is very hard to keep sanity. It is tainting your sole but you only realize that afterwards - for soldiers who believe they are defending their country, this is a sacrifice they need to do. I can only hope this is the same for palestinians killing Israely civilians as well ...

Regarding guilt ... I will be sincere and say no. But I do feel sad, shame and anger many times. Specifically in the past 3 weeks it has been a real emotional strain for me - seeing hate and fear fueled on both sides.
Gabby, have you ever lived imprisoned inside walls without a way to make a decent living for your family? Gabby, have you ever had to suffer by having your water cut off in the middle of the scorching summer for 10 days straight? Gabby, have you any idea what life is like for a Palestinian in the OCCUPIED territories? Gabby, have you ever had to pay 4 times what a car is worth because you live in an occupied region where life is so unfair! Gabby, I KNOW what I am talking about!

Gabby, what is this!!!!!!!

I too agree on the fact the Israel should face war crimes. I will feel much better also when I can hear some of my Israeli friends say that they realize that their government is wrong. I am the first to admit that my government, the United States, needs to change its approach on international affairs. I am ashamed that the US has supported the IDF. I am ashamed. I do love my people, and all people. I love Israeli people. I have Israeli friends. I always will.
I remember when here in the south of the United States I first attended a racially mixed school. That first semester I invited one of my new friends home to meet my family. My father went bolistic when he saw a black girl playing with me in our home. I worked on my father my entire life trying to help him realize that we are all humans. I am still working on him. He has come a long way since that day. I will always stand up for what is right no matter what. I have lost family members due to my marriage to an Arab man. Maybe they will someday realize that what I did was a beautiful thing, bringing two tribes together. What better way to unite the world, I say!
Peace and love to you all!
Yes, he is eye candy as well as beautiful inside! hehehe
Condemning parties in any conflict does not resolve it properly. Bless both friends and enemies, including those you've never met and those you'll never know. When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace. In one of my favorite books, the whole Israeli-Palestinian conflict was resolved through a depiction of unity through art. Don't focus on the negative, because that only gives it power. Acknowledge the problem and solve it. In honor of his birthday, I present the following quote:

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, and toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction....The chain reaction of evil--hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars--must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the dark abyss of annihilation."
To Tatiana:
You have zero understanding of the ME conflict and zero depth. Just hatred for Jews (you'd probably say to that that some of your best friends are Jews).

Although It was Hamas who chose the battlefield, Israel can't come clean. But society in Israel is strong and capable of introspection (pleae read this).
My advice to you is to take example from more compassionate and learned members of our community and focus your energy on building bridges.
alex
i just wana tell you ALEX:
you have no idea about the life isreal force us to live...what Mrs. Tatiana A Kostanian said was the truth about isreal leaders or the milatary...i will tell you that not all the jews are criminal coz am telling you alex , i have many jewish friends and they know where is the truth and they are not criminals . am not telling you this coz they are my friends but coz of what they blieve , they are good great friends...they do not have blind heart ,or brain wash..what Mrs. Tatiana A Kostanian said is the truth and non of her words was a lie
but about what you said (Although It was Hamas who chose the battlefield) i am telling you that most of the world and us as a palestinian wasn`t with Hamas or what they did but now after what happend isreal made a huge mistak coz all the world bieleive who is the tirorist and who`s the criminal , so am telling you that isreal lost this war in ground and also it lost the world being hatred to Hamas..all the protesting around the world people have the hamas flag with them all around the world...so i think thats a big huge lost for isreal in this war..the let the people bieleve in thgis flag..

SamSam, I know what you mean about people now being more and more pro Hamas, sadly this is an understandable and expectable human behaviour following a crisis.
The same thing is happening now in Israel too and we are nearing elections.

This is why in one of my answers to Roro (in this discussion), I said: "I have the belief that if I make people on both sides understand and respect eachother fears - hate will eventually go away (but I'm no dreamer, sadly we will be required to pay more price from us and our loved ones, the good people of this earth)".

This is why Alex's statement "focus your energy on building bridges" is exactly what is expected from us - people who care and hope for a different future! We will not give up hope!!!
