Arundhati Roy is one of my heroes. Saw her talk about her work on tv when backpacking in sydney ~ changed my view of the world and moved me to tears. Hope you have read her book the cost of living... I am sure there are others... thanks for posting the link

I am against this woman along with many other professional protestors that we have in India...Firstly her first book, which was acclaimed was really bad..

She holds views which are detrimental to India. She live a cozy life and expects the poor to remain poor. They oppose industrialisation of India because they don't want farmers to change their line of work. If left to them, the Indian farmer who earns peanuts will never do better and never grow in life. The Indian farmer is being misled by such people going by whose views a rickshaw puller should never be allowed to drive a cab or Taxi...
