Peace Café 4 קפה שלום 4 السلام كافي

Friday 27th March we hold the 4th Peace Café

It was our biggest yet! Seventy peacemakers - Palestinian, Israeli and International - interacted outdoors in productive conversations, a warm lunch, and a listening circle.

Our discussions covered: What is "Occupation", "Peace", and "Zionism"? One state or two states? What about Israeli politics and Palestinian politics? What do I know about the other side? What is my personal story? What am I committed to doing for peace?

For a short video, recap and photos, visit the Peace Café's group: http://www.mepeace.org/group/peacecaf44.

Feedback we received included: "inspiring and helpful", "sharing together was great", "was easier to communicate than I thought", "the idea and the spirit behind it is blessed", and " will attend more meetings and will invite friends".

MEPEACE is committed to creating more events on the ground to support our growing community online, make real progress, and give people hope.

Thank you Hiba Hamzeh , Moad Arqouv and to all who helped for organizing our Peace Café . And thanks to all who came, and to all who are supportive from afar. Let me know if would like to help with future events.

MEPEACE is a community of peacemakers interacting, informing and inspiring Middle East peace. We are celebrating 2,000 peacemakers and 1,000,000 page visits. Join us today on http://mepeace.org.

Thank you Elke
Thank you, Neri, for sharing this courageous group of peacemakers with us, by photo and film. I feel overwhelmed with gratitude. The news out of the Middle East is so often disheartening. As a U.S. member of IFLAC, I often despair at the ways in which voices of hope, from Israel and its close Palestinian neighbors, are drowned out by the cynicism of their respective leaders. Our IFLAC leader, Ada, who is also a member of this group, has touched many Arab hearts, while pointing out that much of Israel is populated by former Arab Jews who were chased from their homelands with only the clothes on therr backs. We weep for all displaced persons, wondering why those, from whom they fled in fear for their lives and the lives of their children, cannot find a way to secure the Peace that all of Humanity longs for. Peace cafes remind us that there is still hope. Your cameraman was hasty in filming, perhaps to protect identities of these Heroes, all.
Is peace possible? Yes!!!!!!!!!!
It is a verry great work and i am greatful for wat you and your companions are doïng!
Sending all of you my deep regards
Willy
