Hello iPeace! As one of my first fans you must understand how special you are to me. I've been practicing and struggling for years and I really respect the fact that you love the music without even knowing me. That makes you have a special ear and eye and I want you to know that you are welcome ALWAYS on my tours as the front row seat. Just mention the iPeace network. (now for the tour..haha_ ) I'll keep you posted!
On another note,
My hero Stevie Wonder might be at my first showcase guys! It's funny, Stevie has always been a strong influence in my life. When I was six my first big break came when a scout found me after winning "Little Miss Charm Girl" at a pageant. I was asked to kid model at a private gala with all of the biggest 80's players. There was Alf, that girl from Blossom, and even my hero Stevie Wonder. I remember finishing the modeling event with two other little girls and then splitting up to grab some autographs. When I got to Stevie Wonder's table he was in deep conversation with Karim Abdul-Jabbar. After waiting patiently and quietly behind his chair for quite some time, Stevie sensed that someone was there and turned around to say "hello"....
Obviously six and stunned I stared in disbelief as my childhood legend came to life and grew legs..but just as I was about to open my mouth and get that last autograph Karim blocks me like a basketball player and barks "BEAT IT KID".. My world was crushed and I sat embarrassed in front of all the biggest legends. My eyes began to swell up with tears and I quickly turned around quietly hoping no one would see me cry.
A tear fell and Stevie replied. "Don't cry sweetie, I've got something even better than an autograph". He stood up led me to the stage and put me on his knee, and he said
"What's your favorite song?" I told him
"That's what friends are for" and he said
"Would you like to sing it with me?" and right there as Alf, Blossom, Karim, and the cast of Growing Pains looked on I squeezed out a
"YES"
Everyone grew silent as Stevie played the introduction. I felt like a million bucks. He gave me my start and proved I deserve a chance in the spotlight. I've never looked back.
Ever since then I've been blessed and I promised I would dedicate myself to helping others.
I adore Stevie not just for his music but for his heart.
Stevie is blind, but he was the only one who could see my tears.
PEACE
