Hi all,

Last year we entered the iPeace idea as a candidate to Google's Project 10^100, a call for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible.

Lately Google announced:

Last fall we launched Project 10^100, a call for ideas to change the world by helping as many people as possible. Your response was overwhelming. Thousands of people from more than 170 countries submitted more than 150,000 (or around 10^5.2) ideas, from general investment suggestions to specific implementation proposals. As we reviewed these submissions, we started noticing lots of similar ideas related to certain broad topics, and decided that combining the best aspects of these individual proposals would produce the most innovative approaches to solving some very pressing problems.
The result is the list you see below of 16 "big ideas," each inspired by numerous individual submissions. Which ones should we make happen? You tell us. Your vote for one of these ideas will help our advisory board choose up to 5 projects to fund, at which point we'll launch an RFP process to identify the organization(s) that are best suited to implementing them.
Thank you to everyone who has chosen to lend your energy to Project 10^100. Your idealism will inspire our own efforts to make these world-changing ideas a reality. So please cast your vote, and help us take this next step toward building a better world.

Please click this link to review the 16 big ideas and vote.

I am going to cast my vote in favor of :
Create genocide monitoring and alert system

Community

Build and refine tools capable of disseminating genocide-related mapping and related information in order to save lives. Much of the necessary technology and data-gathering methodology already exists both for general crisis mapping and for early warning systems capable of preventing mass atrocities. A key remaining step is to make this data more widely available to strengthen international aid agency coordination, improve resource allocation, develop timely policy and help evaluate current humanitarian practices.

Please take a few moment to review the ideas and vote.

Love

David

Dearest David, I Just Figuared Out This E-Mail Connection And I Apoligise For Not Reading Your E-Mail Until Today,10/6/09. However, John's Birthday,10/9/09@11:11am&pm, Is A Spiritual Link From Earth To The Sky. My Own Birthday To Present Memory On Earth Is,10/17/09. The 11:11, Is My Spiritual Gate To Other Worlds And Voices Of Those Who Came Before Us Or Live Along Side Of Us Here On Earth. The Space&Time Continuum. The Fabric That Devides Us From Them Is Tearing. The Portols Are Becoming Wider And More Often. And The Truth Of Our Exsistance Is Unfolding In Front Of Us. I Suggest The Truth To Be Top Priority. Love&Peace, Is Part Of That. Humans Are Resiliant Enough To Handle The Truth. But To Humans Who Lead. The Truth Would Make Us All Equal. That Is The Segragation Factor That Is Lies. This Forum Of Peace Is To Open The Eyes Of All. We Are All Equal. We Have Proven That We Are All Brothers&Sisters From The Same Seed. Wars Are ManMade. Weapons Of The Sole Purpose To Eliminate Other Brothers&Sister, Young And Old. This Does Not Fit In Any Logical Thought. In Other Words, It Doesn't Make Sense. As Soon As Your Born. They Make You Feel Small. By Giving You No Time Instead Of It All. They Make Both Adult Humans Work. And Leave The Offspring To Fend For Themselves. Youg Developing Minds That Aren't Equipped To Make The Right Decisions. Money Is Greed. You Work To Help Your Family To Provide The Essentials Of Life. Yet, You Have To Pay For Greed By Others. We All Lose. The Tragidy Of Governments Aloud To Get Paid For Nothing. Or The Killing At Night In The African States To Continue. Just To Name A Few. There Is Never Enough Time Or Space Here Or There To Describe The Global Attrcities. Nor Do We Have The Freedom Here To Express The Truth About What We Do. So I Wish For All Humans To Understand. Its All About,"YOU". Telepathic Communication Was Before The,"Tele-"phone, The,"Tele-"vision. Express A Desire To Live And To Feel. To Hug Your Children. To Tell A Stranger That,"I Love You". I Love You All. Its A Stressful Life. You Should Be Aloud To Create And Solve Your Own Stress. Not Everyone Elses. Accept Humility That Is The Truth. Blame&Greed, For What Others Do. Accept Responsability For Your Own Wrong Decisions. Its Easy To Blame Others. No One Ever Said Life Would Be Easy. Let's Celebrate Each Of Our Lives! Thankyou David, I'll Now Be Able To Keep You Posted! From The Sky I Love You ! !! !!!

The proposals Google left to vote on are benign but banal. Google has not kept true to their promises. They took 9 months more than they promised and then changed the rules of the competition after entries were submitted, which is simply dishonest. The aggregation to 16 (essentially similar in spirit) proposals instead of giving voters to choose from 100 proposals meant that the original and avanguard proposals were thrown out.

Hi,

Social entrepreneurship FTW!

Because it attacks the root cause of unrests of all kinds (including the "opposite of peace"). Poverty. Climate Change / Climate Refugees. Unhealth. Illiteracy. Marginalization. Water and Food Insecurity. You Name It.

I submitted a suggestion about researching sustainopreneurship, that is one of many suggestions streaming into this one. And they got it to the points of concretization I also got it.

I will macroblog about this later on, but this posting is an alert posting just to make you VOTE FOR THIS!

FOR LASTING PEACE AND SUSTAINABLE PROSPERITY, VOTE SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP!

Help social entrepreneurs drive change

CATEGORY: OPPORTUNITY

Create a fund to support social entrepreneurship. This idea was inspired by a number of user proposals focused on "social entrepreneurs" -- individuals and organizations who use entrepreneurial techniques to build ventures focused on attacking social problems and fomenting change. Specific relevant ideas include establishing schools that teach entrepreneurial skills in rural areas; supporting entrepreneurs in underdeveloped communities; and creating an entity to provide capital and training to help entrepreneurs build viable businesses and catalyze sustained community change.

SUGGESTIONS THAT INSPIRED THIS IDEA

1. Provide targeted capital and business training to help young entrepreneurs build viable businesses and catalyze sustained community change
2. Create a non-profit, venture capital-like revolving fund to invest in high-impact local entrepreneurs
3. Send young American entrepreneurs to underdeveloped communities to help create small businesses that would economically benefit those communities
4. Create schools in rural areas to teach local people how to become entrepreneurs
5. Create a private equity fund to help immigrants in developed countries finance business development in their countries of origin

My idea is a world without arms.If people want to fight over arguments let them use their fists! The world is so beautiful what more do people want than a place to live, food and drink and be happy. The earth provides the rest! We have seen now how to spoil the earth just lets go back and be happy again. Sounds simple but I am simple!!! Namaste Garry

My love for the sciences and social learning would have my vote for social entrepreneurship and positive media for science and engineers. They are all good ideas however these two interest me most.
