35 years later and still as gorgeous.....

And how he was directly after changing his name and ditching the 'Mod Face' of London, and John's Children (with a moderate hit under his belt) as he was dubbed, drew on his cape and pixie shoes...voila ~ Tyrannosaurus Rex, with Steve Peregrine Took....A rare clip this first one the second.....a great song................

Early Marc Bolan demo performed by Tyrannosaurus Rex at the UFO Club in London, 1967.

1968 live at Kempton Park

Ok, here's John's Children too.....................
Marc Bolan was in John's Children for a few months in 1967. He wrote this song, and can be heard playing guitar and singing the backing vocals.
Thanks Percy, it was a lovely way to start my Friday, I trust you are feeling better today..... I hope I hear a yes?

The last clip from John's Children was after Mark left I guess as I did not spot him, a really lovely song, I liked it very much.

Desdemona was great too, and you could hear Mark as clear as a bell, his voice is so distinctive.

Debora.......... is a great great song.

Sara Crazy Child is a side of Mark that I had never seen, it was very gentle and soft.

I have only been to Kempton Park for it's usual purpose....... horse racing, to a Boxing Day meeting many moons ago!
Excellent, Devi (...and congrats on your 2nd day at work, hehe !).............The gig was good, huh ?...Love this girl, never heard of her before but'll check to see if she'll be playing London in the near future.

And Sue...Loved the Tommy Steele number...was going to post one of his myself.........How about this one to set your foot a-tappin', ?........................
The famous song 'Little White Bull' from the film Tommy the Toreador, 1959. Written by Lionel Bart...Although I love L.B....This one reminds me of my much younger years....When I was 8-ish.........Hated the thing THEN ! Hehe.

(He's a git, actually.....Worked for 'im............I'm ashamed to come from the same part of London !, As for his statue......Well ?!).
I loved the song, being a tad younger than you I was the right age for such a 'cute' song, I remember singing it! I guess we both love it now.

Who is the 'git' Tommy or Lionel?

Tommy is playing Fagin now/soon, saw him on 'The One Show' the other day with his long hair especially for the part.
Very touching music Devi....... I like what she does.
This was a year ago this month..a brisk, crisp and sunny day...full of reasonable food and music. My Lovely Child Bride said it reminded her a little of National music in Georgia, where she's from. Also Russian Folk music. Hardly surprising as they have, and had, quite a predominant clutch of Jews over there, I believe !...Only a guess you understand ?..

.........................FDT Klezmorim perform klezmer music at Queen Mary's, London. Featuring Ilana Cravitz - Violin, Susi Evans - Clarinet, Matt Bacon - Guitar, Paul Tkachenko - Double Bass and Guy Schalom - Drums.
Katie Melua is from Gerogia too, one of Ross's friends (Ross is Sophie's brother.... my son) went to the Brit School at the same time as Katie..... well I believe she did.

The music is great.

We often get wonderful Octobers and Novembers, Sophie's birthday is in November and it's always fab weather on the day.

These boy's are quite new, I heard them on Radio 6 a few days ago and thought they were great. I especially like A Lesser of Two Evils (the second song here)
