This was inspired in Beijing, China...a person was picking up papers with tongs, so I repeated the shape and the figures seem to now be on fields of wheat, when actually it is the hat they wear
This is how I worked on the above piece - covering the figures with tracing paper so that I could paint around them...then I peeled off the tracing paper afterwards
The young Chinese really impressed me...so I was inspired to do a fun piece with hair of all colors, and faces of all different shapes and features...because, there is a vast difference between the Chinese just as there are between all nations
My friend brought her daughter to my house and I took a photo of her. Her hair really had this blue shine to it!
I really love irony...this lightbulb tree growing lightbulbs and the person walking with a huge lightbulb in his basket. Love working with different materials too...here, paint and ink.
I was so impressed with the beauty of Chinese women and their flowing hair. This watercolor painting was inspired bythe thought of Chinese women....and the female figure, relaxing or sleeping makes me feel very relaxed, and I enjoy looking and creating these kinds of figures.
Upon joining iPeace I created so many different drawings, cartoons, etc. This was one of me....in a peaceful state!
This is one of about 35 or more shoe sculptures I have created and shown in Italy and the USA. These were on the theme of chocolate, but no chocolate was used. Like I said, I love working with so many mediums...have always been intrigued with them, love the experimentation possible with them.
