Friday 02/01/09 Peace Café III مقهى السلام 3

Many doubted that Israelis and Palestinians (and Internationals) can meet in time of war.

on Friday 02/01/09 we showed we can, and now is time for people to build the change in relationship.

The Associated Press and Reuters sent a video crew who filmed our peacemakers sharing themselves and their commitment to peace. we also been honored by Marc Gopin Director of the Center on Religion, Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University's Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. and Gershon Baskin Co-Director and founder of the Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information (IPCRI) - a joint Israeli-Palestinian public policy think. Gershon initiated the founding of IPCRI

We feel fortunate for this coverage and hope that AP and Reuters will show our Peace Café to the world. In listening circles and tables, we discussed Gaza, how we can help, and what we can do to develop leaders for peace. We met, we cried, we laughed, we ate lunch together: pitas, humus and falafel... Our conversations were charged, emotional and respectful. At this sensitive time, we showed we care and love one another. Hiba Hamzeh and Moad Arqouv leaded the organizing event, and to Rahel, Anas and Costa for helping.

We honor all the peacemakers who overcame roadblocks, checkpoints and fears. We remember the condition on Gaza and prayed for relief.

I hope we have videos soon

Yes, this is absolutely awesome heart-warming news! Happy New Moments for our New Year!

If we continue to send forth only thoughts of love and goodwill to our neighbors, I believe this act WILL transcend Tribal emotions.

“Man comes into the world financed by God, with all that he desires or requires already on his pathway. This supply is released through faith and the Spoken Word”. by Florence Scovel Shinn

"If thou canst believe, all things are possible."

c/o Peter Blank: ” Perseverance pays. The path is hard because the old war between good and evil is coming to a climax. Now that I see more of the picture, I can see the assumption that life would be easy, or get easier by getting on the path, is like saying that battle is easy because I am fighting on the side of good. But battle is hard no matter whose side one is on, and so it is with the path and the battle between good and evil. Simple adherence to the Golden Rule would nullify that”…

E=mc2 is a famous equation by Albert Einstein. Energy equals Mass multiplied by light-speed square: Energy is a reaction to thought; Think Peace; m = mass, our apparent bodies; the same energy transformed from one form to another; Eternal Illuminated Beings; c2 is Mass multiplied by LIGHT-speed square!

It is said if you desire anything and believe that you have received it that it shall be yours. Because God created peace for you! Believe that Its already yours and I will meet you there; c2;)
Hope, confidence and actions are the keys !

Thank you so much for sharing this with us all----------------truly belssed are the peacemakers.
This coverage of peace activities is nice and comes at a time that we need it most in this region. There is no substitute for peace between Palestinians and Israelis. As this useless war in the south rages on, we will find ourselves having to put away the guns and start talking. Couldn't we have started talking before this madness had even started?
Couldn't the war just stop this minute? Better late than never, I would think.
For peace and love to replace the way of the gun, all peace loving people must unite and demand peace from their representatives.
We will have a general election in Israel in February. We must ask ourselves. Do we have a candidate who is committed to peace? If we can not answer this honestly in the affirmative, and I personally don't see a peace champion running for PM, then why bother vote? In Israel, I believe there is a leadership vacuum. We have plenty of former Generals aspiring to run our country, Their way of course, not our way, the way of the gun. We have no hope in sight, especially if we don't reach out to each other, and use our collective efforts to create new political realities. Then and only then , we can see hope a light at end of the tunnel.
Keep hope alive. keep peace alive.
Will this get international coverage? TV newspapers, internet (I see video will come soon). It is just too too important of news for anyone to lose.
