almohand,

Salaam alekum. I believe that there are certain divine aspects of God that are written on our hearts, on the heart of every person ever born. These Divine Principles include Peace, Freedom, Respect for Life (in all it's manifestations), Self-Awareness and Self-Determination, but the greatest of these is Love, which is the power and energy behind all the others.

We cannot talk about freedom for some people and slavery for others, because that isn't acknowleding the Source of these Divine Principles which is for ALL people, no matter what their religion, color, nationality or gender. Freedom as Principle HAS TO BE for all people, because if one person is enslaved, none of us are free. If one person is enslaved economically, socially or religiously, or is enslaved by their own self-judgment, then none are free.

Therefore, True Freedom cannot come as a political "gift" within a certain country, or bargained for with the world, but comes as a Divine Principle, given by God to All.

At the same time, I KNOW with my heart that these Divine Ideas are not just our gift, they are our DESTINY, for all people WILL come to know them within themselves and bring them into expression. Insh'allah. God wills that it is so.

Salaam, Shalom, Shanti, Peace
I think we should, and we need to look of how to create it.
I believe we create it by beginning with ourselves-- this is to say, we have to internally feel compelled to allow freedom of others to surface-- we do this by not judging others as a race, as a religion, as political party and/or being and etc,. We must stop judging one another and attempting to as the old adage goes, "clean our neighbor’s porch." We must begin by simply attempting to understand one another as a child(ren) of the KING, GOD/DESS, LIGHT or whatever you call the source of your life.

Please understand that I know this concept is a simple one but it is rooted in the hope of possibilities. Furthermore, it is a start but not a complete answer to what you query.

Neri,

Freedom has to be based on Principle, not just a political "reality" but something deeper. The Ideal of Freedom is based on respect of the individual by the group and by the individual for the whole. The whole includes ALL people, beyond race, creed and religion, no matter what their political affiliation.

So without that respect, freedom isn't possible. So, the way to build freedom is to build that respect.

I have learned to respect the Source that exists within each person. For me, the practice has been to look for and recognize that Divine Source that wants to express itself in and thru every person. This Source, aka God, is seeded within all, even those people who deny its existence, or choose to call it by another name. When we see this Divine Potential for Freedom (and for Good in general) within our supposed enemies, we react differently than we would by focusing on the other stuff. We want to help bring forth that inner Good instead of trrying to quash them for being different.

Shalom, Salaam, Shanti, Peace
I couldn't agree with you more but there are those in this Real LIfe who will accept a darker SOURCE as their primary resource-- but the hope is always that we choose the light as opposed to that which is not rooted in the "Divine Potential for Freedom." Perhaps, this song expresses best what I/we are both attempting to share.

Emm Dee, thank you for the song, I enjoyed it.

Dear Seamus,

each of us hold the key for manifesting freedom, as its essence is our communion as free humans.

I can share with you that I have similar practice when I look on people I put effort to see their original face, their baby face who we all share.

Shalom, Salaam, Shanti, Peace and joy
