Where is the peace???
I´m sure, based i my life´s experiences, it´s very easy TO HAVE knowledges. The difficult is TO BE this knowledge. So, the peace born inside each one and so, can go thought the world around us. All is inside. Include the answers. Thus, don´t looking for out. If we can found the peace inside us, we can transform the world around us. Kisses in your heart. Ngari

You said peace is "in the bank sir peace in the klashenkov in the tank in the petrol etc........" No, sir, I must disagree. Peace does not exist in these things because these things can be taken away, used up or damaged. They lose their value, or can be used for violence. These things, at best, are the end effect of peace when used peacefully, but they are not the Cause of Peace. There is only One Cause of Peace.
True Peace cannot be taken away from us, because this Peace is at the center of our soul and in the center of the One, Source/Spirit/God, which is the Ultimate Cause of ALL Peace, All Good, All Harmony, no matter what name we give it.
Our job is to find and acknowledge the Cause of Peace within us, within all people and call that forth into being in the world of our experience. Our job is to drop all the wrong uses of that One Life, define and remove all the lies in our own minds and in "race-mind" and allow the One Intelligence, that knows ONLY Harmony, to create new thoughts that bring Peace to the world.
Not "in the bank sir peace in the klashenkov in the tank in the petrol etc........" but in the One.

Neither Sirs are right.
Peace has to be both within and without. Too often it starts within and stays within.
When it stays within, due to lack of Gandhian spirit, transformed, really, into resignation, Almohand's assessment becomes true. Peace becomes just a brief absence of war.
We get the world we deserve, and no amount of wishful thinking about inner peace can excuse that.
And again, there is just so much that can be said when the peace stays within. that is why this thread stopped a year ago.
But the question is more urgent than ever: Where is the peace?
I can not be achieved only from within. As Thomas à Kempis said, All men desire peace, but very few desire those things that make for peace.
The things that make for peace, like justice, fairness, sharing the earth's resources, saying "no" to abusive authority (as Gandhi did) authority, outside also.

I am asking you to make up a list of the qualities that comprise your concept of Utopia. You can be as vague as you wish or as specific as you wish, but the more specific you can be the easier it will be for you to envision these qualities as reality. You can amend and edit your list as you see fit as there will almost assuredly be things that will change in focus or come to light as you work through this process. Refine your list until you are happy with it's contents, and remember this is not a contest to see who can come up with the most complete or elaborate or insightful list, it is simply to satisfy ones self as to their personal idea of Utopia. Once we have these lists compiled into a form that we find pleasing, I want us to both read and imagine them as reality each morning when we rise, and each evening when we retire - and also to get together and compare notes to share insights and ideas - Individuals to Group, and Group to Individuals. Ultimately I would like to see this become a cooperative effort wherein we all benefit from each others inputs as well as being significant contributors in each of our unique Individualness'. These "Messages" are a great place to share our ideas and express our collective Utopias together. If you would prefer to keep your list personal, that's fine as well. I just thought that a collaborative effort would be beneficial. This way each of us might gain an insight or two from the others, and as well each might just contribute an insight that is unique to them that the rest can benefit from.
The circumstances, situations and events spontaneously provided by nature and "Sleeping Man" have served only to produce a version of society geared toward the suppression and servitude of Mankind. Leaving very little room for the process of true self-expression, and this room is being made smaller and smaller every day by those whom profit by things remaining in this state of servitude. Now is the time to fill the place occupied by that "Personal Factor", that namely of an intelligence that sees beyond the present limited manifestation of the Laws into their real essence, and the means by which they can be evoked into forms of expression, usefulness, and beauty. The Laws of the Universe remain absolute; it is our understanding and employment of them that must change in order to bring about the shift in the Global Consciousness toward the Life that we would prefer to experience. This is not just a "pipe-dream" - it is the responsibility of the Individual - Nature will provide the materials, and the food, but it will not build the paradise for us nor cook the meal for us - That, we must do ourselves. Sadly the bulk of the "New Thought Movement" isn't actually geared toward freeing your creative center, instead it is spinning you into focusing on "me, me, me". I want a better job, I want as bigger house, a nicer car - material things that by their very nature feed the state of separateness that keeps us in this bondage in the first place. We must rise above our current lust for personal possessions and material acquisitions to a global sense of Unity and Harmony. Trust me, the Universal will deliver abundance beyond our wildest dreams as a Unit or big family (independent of racial or national lines) when we, as an expression of the Universal in the Individual, regain our balance in the flow of the Life Essence.
So join me in ascending the chronic state of "victimhood" now shared by the majority of mankind into our birthright as limitless distributors of the Creative Power on the plane of the Particular into the expansive nature of the Life-In-Itself. Let us give rise to a new collective vision of Love, Peace, Joy and Happiness for every aspect, every Life-form, Plant and pebble of Manifested experience here in 3rd Dimensional expression. We cannot simply sit back and wait for nature to correct itself, or for some external omnipotent deity to step up and re-balance the world. We must realize that the World is perfect, and begin to see the perfection we wish within it. We must step up and continue the never-ending process of Creation at the Personal Level - It is time to quit giving our power away and to take full responsibility for our experiences. No-one else can live for us, no-one else can grow for us, and no-one else can evolve for us. It is a personal thing and the time has come to begin Living rather than simply existing.

<*> Physical transportation will take on a form in compliance with the true nature of our being, and will utilize the inherent powers now dormant in mankind.

<*> There will be many various groups of specialized interest toward certain forms of experience facilitating its members to the fullest level of all experience within their interests.

Do we really want peace in the world as well as personally?
Why no take up on Victor's proposal? Sounds like too much hard work?
May I say, that in my experience, working on personal peace is like charity, "charity starts at home" the saying goes, but it also stays mostly at home.
We love our friends, our good neighbours. But plague on your houses if you are, or are likely to be, a "terrorist".
PS I have just come across this thread by chance and am a bit surprised at the lack of interest in this item.

I'm 'working' on it. :-) Silence is for me the key to peace, love, joy and freedom. When I'm able to stop my thouths and there's just silence, I can feel peace and joy. This moments become longer and stronger and also other persons can feel it. :-)

I was thinking if there is no conflict within us, we will not be troubled, we will not try to resolve anything, we will not be active.

This is an interesting dicotomy, to be at peace within ourselves and at the same time, to be aware of non-peace in others and in the world.
What this tells me is that, by first finding and eliminating the conflicts within and creating peace there for ourselves, we are called to teach it to others. I know that all conflicts begin with thoughts and so the thoughts must be changed. People hold those thoughts in mind, so that is where we must do the work. It is possible to change, but we must first see that this is the root of all conflict, and must want to change our thoughts for ones of peace.
For me, I know that all thoughts that create non-peace are lies. Any judgment I have of another comes back to me, and I must change that thought. Any thought that violence solves anything is a lie, and comes back to me multiplied, and I must change it. Any thoughts within me of vengence, punishment or war are lies that the world believes, but I know that they don't work, and that I must change them.
As Gandhi said "We must become the change we wish to see." As Jesus said, "It is done unto you as you believe." As Muhammed (pbuh) said, "The greatest jihad is within." So I know this is where we must teach change. And become the change. And help call forth that change in others so that it can happen in the world.
And when we remove the lies from our minds, the Truth of Peace is revealed. That's my process and that is what I aim to embody and teach.

Peace inside us is inarguably very important in the peace building process. Important also to keep in mind is that the relationship between the individual and society is a reciprocal one, the transformation now required must occur simultaneously within human consciousness and the structure of social institutions.

you are right ...we can't give what we don't have...
to me to find the piece inside we need to forgive ours selves...acepet the hard times not as a punishment but as same thing that we need to learne with ...and gip strong in our belives for the better ....them we are read to help the others...to respect the othes ...and our home as earth planet.
