GENERAL  PLANETARY INFLUENCES 19-25.12.2011

First & foremost, whatever your personal beliefs, I hope you’re all looking forward to the festive season, & I’d like to wish you all a wonderful Xmas, & prosperous New Year.  In many ways for me & many other people, 2011 has been a bit like a roller-coaster ride, & I feel the planetary influences have contributed in many ways, but it’s hard to ascertain exactly what, with so many different effects, at times several at once.

The Sun is now at the end of it’s journey through adventurous, independent, philosophical Sagittarius, making us more broadminded, positive & tolerant, we may seek a reaction and need our personal freedom.  Friday the Sun moves into careful, dutiful, responsible, Capricorn, with caution & some worry at times, but also a sense of achievement, and some humorous moments.  The Moon starts the week in charming, harmonious, peaceful Libra.  Wednesday it moves into determined, jealous, strong-willed, Scorpio.  Friday it moves into broadminded, optimistic Sagittarius, with a New Moon then.  On Sunday Xmas Day it moves again into aloof, pessimistic, responsible & realistic Capricorn, finishing the week there.  Mercury remains in Sagittarius, with some challenges, & difficulties remaining focused, but a broad-minded approach.  Venus remains in loyal dutiful Capricorn, making it hard to express our emotions at times.  Mars remains in detailed, hard-working, practical Virgo, until early next year, & can make us question our actions at times.  The Generation Planets from Jupiter through to Pluto remain where they are till the end of this year at least, most of them for much longer, so their influence will be about the same in this section and in the last parts of individual sign readings. Jupiter remains in generous, sensible, humorous Taurus, until well into next year, giving a love of life, & creature comforts. It travels direct from Christmas Day. Saturn remains in courteous, fair-minded, pleasant, but serious Libra, through most of next year, & gives more flexibility. Uranus is now travelling direct in energetic, courageous, self-willed & proud Aries, with some rebelliousness, sudden, unexpected events or disruptive emotional matters, distract us away from our usual routine, or help us see things in a new light , and brings more balance.  Neptune remains in humanitarian, idealistic, independent Aquarius, staying there until well into the New Year, with a need to remain realistic & find a balance.  Pluto remains in Capricorn for the foreseeable future, showing knowledge gradually acquired on deeper levels, with balance.  Planetary aspects this week are:- Sun & Pluto conjunct – Some intensity at times, with a need for moderation & balance.  Sun & Saturn remain sextile – Deep understanding, with recognition of personal limitations.  Sun & Neptune sextile – More awareness of personal potential & duties.  Sun & Uranus square – An impulsive, unpredictable approach to people & situations.  Sun & Jupiter trine – Self-confidence, with enjoyment & a happy, positive outlook.  Mercury & Uranus trine – Flashes of intuitive, accurate insight can prove helpful.  Mercury & Jupiter inconjunct – Frustration trying to deal with other people’s problems.  Venus & Uranus sextile – Charismatic dealings with family, friends & generally with other people.  Venus & Saturn square – Possible difficulties or some over-emotional reactions.  Venus & Jupiter square – A self-indulgent approach, maybe with too much taken for granted.  Jupiter & Neptune sextile – An imaginative, hopeful outlook.  Jupiter & Pluto still trine – Good organizational skills, with resourcefulness.  Saturn & Neptune remain trine - Creative idealism, with imagination & organization.  Pluto & Uranus remain square for a considerable time – A need for independence, dislike of restrictions.  Neptune & Pluto sextile very long-term – Understanding & acceptance of world changes affecting everyone.

ARIES     21 March - 20 April

You’re intuitively alert, may read too much into situations, but approach them realistically.  From Friday you may have career related issues to think about, you carry many responsibilities.  Work can be hard going at times, you have to reassess your finances, but have the support of your partner.  You’re erratic, outgoing, and may meet up with friends.

TAURUS    21 April - 21 May

You probably look quite carefully at joint finances, but remain sensible with money, & a future budget..  From Friday you take an idealistic approach, & may daydream a lot.  You’re busy, out & about, & want quick results, you take a positive approach, even when working non-stop.  You may worry about niggling things, & be unsure about your career.

GEMINI    22 May - 21 June

You have a positive relationship with a partner, good communication builds great understanding.  From Friday you may be passionate about something or someone, or feel emotional.  Family life remains hectic, & you have to organize it all, you may feel you have no personal space, or time for personal interests.  You enjoy seeing good friends, & take a happy-go-lucky approach.  

CANCER    22 June - 23 July

You may find you have to organize everything at work, but approach things realistically.  From Friday you enjoy some positive time with a partner, but may over-react emotionally.  You need people to listen, if they take you for granted, but relax with like-minded friends, when home life is frantic.  You may feel bored in your career, & prone to daydreaming in a relationship.

LEO     24 July  -  23 August

You enjoy getting out, speculating socialising & organising, getting on brilliantly with everyone.  From Friday you put a lot of effort into helping everyone, & really enjoy your food & drink.  You manage your finances astutely, have a progressing outlook on your career, but maybe private too.  You might feel a bit limited by circumstances at times, & are quite imaginative with a partner.

VIRGO     24 August  -  23 September 

You have a lot going on at home, preparing everything for your family, who depend on you a lot.  From Friday you can focus your creative skills, & enjoy some attention yourself.  You say what you mean, & mean what you say, & may look forward to a break soon, but feel limited with money.  You might be erratic with joint finances, & have health problems needing investigation.

LIBRA    24 September  -  23 October

You really enjoy catching up with friends & loved ones, but may be easily distracted.  From Friday you might organize a family get together, & have a great time.  You’re compassionate, but need some me time, & manage financial matters well, but your confidence levels may waver.  You enjoy shared times with a partner, & personal interests, perhaps for your imaginative ideas.

SCORPIO    24 October  -  22 November

You might make lots of purchases, making some great buys, but watch your money.  From Friday meeting up with relatives & mates takes over, maybe emotional reunions with friends you haven’t seen in a while. You enjoy happy times with a partner, & may reminisce about the past.  You can get easily bored at work & need some variety, & may find home life erratic at times.

SAGITTARIUS     23 November  -  21 December

You come across as very positive, optimistic, & tolerant, you’re astute, charming & confident.  From Friday your mind may be on last minute purchases, & you’re drawn to luxury items.  You’re keen to start progressing professionally, can do well in business, & enjoy seeing old friends.  You still have lots of ideas & skills to develop, & may seem to ‘switch off’ at times.

CAPRICORN     22 December - 20 January

You may enjoy some privacy, & think over recent events, feeling emotional then logical in turn.  From Friday you become more positive & are very charismatic, enjoying socialising.  You get easily bored by circumstances, but remain enthusiastic & tolerant, & feel a need to earn success.  You need to join in everything at home, but also get out for a while, & to watch your expenditure.

AQUARIUS     21 January  -  19 February

You probably find you’re still partying, very busy out & about, you’re quite popular now.  From Friday you enjoy having some time to yourself, but may be overly emotional at times.  You work well in private, but can get obsessive, & enjoy time spent with family, but have a lot to deal with.  You may have some great ideas, but need room to breathe, & have a rather escapist outlook.

PISCES     20 February -  20 March

You need a sense of achievement & success in your career, so have been working very hard.  From Friday you have more time to socialise with friends & loved ones, & are compassionate.  You may have some spats with a partner, but communicate positively, although you could be a bit jealous at times.  You may be prone to over-spending, & should beware self-deception.
