HONEY AS EFFECTIVE MEDICINE FOR EXTERNAL APPLICATION

Traditionally we knew many virtues of honey but its application in modern science is only partly known. When I was looking after Science & Technology while serving Khadi & Village Industries Commission, an autonomous organization of Government of India as Deputy Chief Executive Officer, I referred a research project to Nair Hospital, a well known hospital of Mumbai. The report was encouraging and after its finding honey is now being used for wound dressing and many external application as its virtue was scientifically proved. The report is attached for information to all concern.

These are honey bees swarming around a tree. They may be wild or they may have split from a domesticated hive. Bees may also swarm around a residence and even nest within the walls. When this happens, honey may be seen seeping into a home
