When it comes to peace, how would you describe yourself?
I am a born activist
What do you believe are the 'burning issues' today?
War, Hunger, Poverty, Education, Our Planet, Violence, Human Rights
So what is it?
Peace begins within, peace is the only way to live in harmony eith the planet, with humanity and with nature. Peace isn't only possible, it's necessary. The world needs peace.
What must we overcome to achieve peace?
Fear
More
People are afraid.....they give in to fear. When you realize that faith and trust in the universe is the only real way to have a peaceful and loving existance. The fear of the unknown, of something different, the fear of change....once everyone realizes that we're all here, on this planet and we need to live in harmony and with respect. Love isn't something to fear. Life isn't something to fear. Embrace each moment and make it great. Live the Dream...be the change you see in the world. Imagine Peace.
Can we change the world?
Definitely
More about me
I am a published writer, currently working on several projets and an optimist, a peacekeeper & activist and a dreamer. In those dreams are also inspirations and experiences that have shaped me. After years or woking in music, and over 13 years in television broadcast media working for an abc affiliate, I helped start a non-profit organization, comprised of every day folks from all over the world who combined talents and passions to make a difference locally & globally through the universal language of music. I am now President of Global Peace Concert, Inc. Currently I am working on a special project of the Global Peace Concert, I am assembling a Global Chorus. Using my original song Peace Tonight, we are gathering voices from all over the globe to sing for Peace.

The Big Blue Ball Chant for the Earth

The Willow weeps down by the river
My eyes are filled with tears
I look up
The sun is risin
I hear the birds
They sing to me

The rain is sweet
The sun is bright
The air is clear
The water’s clean
The earth is safe,
There is no fear
A bird flies free
The boundaries fall
We’re all holding hands
On the BIG BLUE BALL

My friends are sick
The earth is crying
And God is a breath away
They ask for help
I pray for healing
Can’t we all get together and find a way

So the rain is sweet…

The Rhythms of Compassion for the New Age
Rene Wadlow*

The rhythms of the past are strong, for the power of history is often heavy. There is inertia in centuries-old forms and practices which are no longer appropriate. Yet a new history is to be written, a new creation is to be born.

Whether this transformation to a New Age is accomplished in relative peace and creativity or in confusion and chaos depends on how clearly we can bring forth from within ourselves wisdom, stability and harmony. We can retreat from the future in fear and resistance, or we can rise to meet it with understanding and compassion. Understanding requires us to see what is useful and right for the present, what can be useful later, and also what has no more use at all and is to be put aside.

The New Age is fundamentally a change in consciousness from one of isolation and separation to one of communion, to be in tune with the whole, to be aware of the new life within us and to release its creative impulse in cooperation with others. Love is this capacity to perceive this spirit of oneness within and then the ability to see oneself in relationship to others and to life.

The dominant idea that the New Age is bringing into being is wholeness and the idea that of going out with its old forms is separateness and fragmentation. The vision of wholeness requires discrimination and organization to ensure that new energies and potentials are not wasted but are given direction for the greatest impact, for the good of all.

Yet can one be aware of the wholeness of life if the mind is fragmented and stressing separation? We all tend to find security in those fragments of humanity of which we are a part. Yet the fragmented mind with training can give way to awareness. Out of awareness will come a realization of the wholeness of life. The New Age is within us: it is not coming tomorrow

The New Age is within us; it is not coming tomorrow; it is here now.

Hallo . My name is Gunilla I’m a social worker from Sweden and I have been working almost all my life with children and teens. And that’s why I created my Network

”The Child Within”

A network with children in focus.
Since everything starts with the children it’s logical that it is here our engagement has to be spent..

There is no short cut to Peace and Non Violence and there are no prayers that can help a neglected and abused child. We the adult fellow human beings are those who can make a different.. By trying to understand and then provide the help that is needed.
So working for a more child friendly society and give a helping hand to our small ones who the world has forgotten is to fight for Peace and Non Violence

So let’s do that together on The Child Within where we also try to pay attention to the adults inner and often neglected child

You are also welcome to visit my groups here on i Peace.
Hope seeing you soon/Gunilla
