Friday 02/01/09 Peace Café III مقهى السلام 3

Many doubted that Israelis and Palestinians (and Internationals) can meet in time of war.

on Friday 02/01/09 we showed we can, and now is time for people to build the change in relationship.

The Associated Press and Reuters sent a video crew who filmed our peacemakers sharing themselves and their commitment to peace. we also been honored by Marc Gopin Director of the Center on Religion, Diplomacy and Conflict Resolution at George Mason University's Institute for Conflict Analysis and Resolution. and Gershon Baskin Co-Director and founder of the Israel/Palestine Center for Research and Information (IPCRI) - a joint Israeli-Palestinian public policy think. Gershon initiated the founding of IPCRI

We feel fortunate for this coverage and hope that AP and Reuters will show our Peace Café to the world. In listening circles and tables, we discussed Gaza, how we can help, and what we can do to develop leaders for peace. We met, we cried, we laughed, we ate lunch together: pitas, humus and falafel... Our conversations were charged, emotional and respectful. At this sensitive time, we showed we care and love one another. Hiba Hamzeh and Moad Arqouv leaded the organizing event, and to Rahel, Anas and Costa for helping.

We honor all the peacemakers who overcame roadblocks, checkpoints and fears. We remember the condition on Gaza and prayed for relief.

I hope we have videos soon

This is a good approach and a right step in the right direction. Thanks to Associated Press and Reuters for your efforts and I hope that at the end of the day a concrete peace agreement resolve the conflict
Peace in the Middle East, Peace everywhere in the world.
Thanks to all peace lovers and peace promoters

Peace, Harmony & Love is the only way to practice in prey Negative thinking always bring clashes....Please suggest reading Mahatma Gandhi's Morals to everyone because The way u see God he comes in same scene.
It's so great to see Israeli and Plaestinian people meeting in Friendship with the objective of peace.

Is the State of Israel asking Hamas to disarm, or merely asking them to show complete restraint in the use of weaponry? To ask the former, while there is a standing Israeli Army and police force, armed to the teeth, including NUCLEAR WEAPONS, would be absurd. To ask for the latter is a very reasonable request, at this time.

The situation is very much like the more worldwide conflicts, particularly acute in Iraq and Afghanistan where the "terrorists" dedicate resources and lives to combatting the "State-Supported Terrorists" led by the USA.

It's way past time to offer the doves, and begin transitioning to the allocation of resources for the equitable, humane, and sustainable re-development of human living conditions, with highest priority going to improving the plight of the dispossed, in Palrael, in Iraq, in Afghanistan, and all over the world.

Let us wage peace.

Quality of life, not standard of living.

With much love and care,

Mike Morin
Dear Neri,

go on making friends! thanks for being such an example!
bravo!superb reunion!!!
The presentation of this attracted me "who would have thought that Israelis and Palestinians could get together in time of war to discuss" - it is really getting to the core of how to solve any kind of problem, getting the two sides together in order to talk it out. Wonderful, and once again, an inspiration.
Indeed David - we can through non-violent and patient dialogue.

Even one life lost through violence is one life too many.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all........
What a wonderful World It Is!

This is the act of forgiveness in all its perfect simplicity bearing witness to the unstoppable quality of love within us all. May we let this guide us through the haze of this bitter time, and with continued efforts by peaceful souls as these, we will surely see miracles unfold in its resolution. Thank you to everyone who desires peace in their hearts and walks the ways of Peace. As the Hawaiian forgiveness blessing of ho'oponopono says: I'm sorry, please forgive me, I love you.

There are only two days of the year that nothing can be done. One is called yesterday and the other is called tomorrow, so today is right to love, believe, do and mostly live.
Dalai Lama
God says: "When I call that child devotional that fight, meditates and prays to hear me in body, mind and soul as Joy penetrating new and always - as the ever increasing happiness of meditation - I say quiet and deep."
Blessed are the peacemakers
Peace and light, and my gratitude to the group
