looks like a very wet night ... but while I was driving home from Nimbin a lightning strike emerged from the paddock next to me - about 5 metres away WOW was that loud and scared the &^* out of me.

hope the rain isn't in Melbourne on Friday - the next cricket test starts lol - very exciting for me §

hope you are are able to enjoy a peaceful and happy time as the New Year approaches. we have two Couchsurfers coming to stay - should be here soon - from Germany. Always great to meet travellers interested in life rather than sites :)

looking forward to NY Eve this year as there is a fair dinkum hippiefest organised for in the village - street markets, tribal drums and hippie bands :D starts at 4pm until 11pm. The Tribal Drummers will raise the vibrations to midnight. 2009 will begin with an eleven minute Earth healing meditation.

Before that on 21st December there is a Summer Soltice celebratioin. Opening with a Welcome to Country at midday with Auntie Viv. Loads of music.

that is a lovely saying, peter thanks.
we had the hugest storm yesterday and some parts were hit hard with hail the size of golf balls!

This weekend we have the Nimbin Film Festival which offers a unique experience of seeing film making at the grass roots and they are brilliant most of them.
Festival highlights will be, The Burning Season, Black Chicks Talking, Another Shamanic Adventure in Peru and Swimming with Whales, supported by a host of local and not so local offerings guaranteeing a splendid time for all.
