Wow! Its nice to finally find a group that is Canadian that I don't have to give up all kinds of personal information. I think I have been a ipeace member for about a year now, and I really like it here regardless of the stalkers and such. I am in Sarnia, ON, but I really stem from Nova Scotia. I have been in many places in between before I set up roots where I am at now.
I would like to know more about what is going on in the peace movement in Canada.
Also I would like to know more about the Canadian Health Care system.
As you may know, we in the U.S. are having quite a debate over Health Care Reform.
I am for comprehensive, universal, nonprofit, single payer health care with everybody in and no body out. I understand that is the Canadian way too. Am I correct?
I request information from you as to if I am correct that this is the Canadian way of Health Care. Is this care paid for fully by taxes or are there other fees too? How do you find that the Health Care system in Canada is working for you and those you love and care about?
Thank you in advance for any information that you would care to share with me about the peace movement in Canada and/or the Health Care system in Canada.
Hello everyone. Just joined ipeace yesterday after seeing the movie Fierce Light at the Cumberland in Toronto. There was a Q&A session afterwards with Velcrow Ripper, a member of this site, and he suggested that everyone look into joining this wonderful network. I would suggest everyone who can go see this movie - very moving and powerful!
Just thought I'd pass along some info I received, for those that don't want Harper in control again.
