Wow! Its nice to finally find a group that is Canadian that I don't have to give up all kinds of personal information. I think I have been a ipeace member for about a year now, and I really like it here regardless of the stalkers and such. I am in Sarnia, ON, but I really stem from Nova Scotia. I have been in many places in between before I set up roots where I am at now.

I just joined this Canadian Peace Movement group.

I would like to know more about what is going on in the peace movement in Canada.

Also I would like to know more about the Canadian Health Care system.

As you may know, we in the U.S. are having quite a debate over Health Care Reform.

I am for comprehensive, universal, nonprofit, single payer health care with everybody in and no body out. I understand that is the Canadian way too. Am I correct?

I request information from you as to if I am correct that this is the Canadian way of Health Care. Is this care paid for fully by taxes or are there other fees too? How do you find that the Health Care system in Canada is working for you and those you love and care about?

Thank you in advance for any information that you would care to share with me about the peace movement in Canada and/or the Health Care system in Canada.

All the best to you,

Hello everyone. Just joined ipeace yesterday after seeing the movie Fierce Light at the Cumberland in Toronto. There was a Q&A session afterwards with Velcrow Ripper, a member of this site, and he suggested that everyone look into joining this wonderful network. I would suggest everyone who can go see this movie - very moving and powerful!

Hi everyone. Thanks for starting this group.

Just thought I'd pass along some info I received, for those that don't want Harper in control again.
Check out a sneak preview of the video that has launched. Its a powerful, special-effects laden new video for the original song 'You Have a Choice' featuring Canadian artists united to defeat Harper and fight climate change.

You can watch it here:

The artists include K-OS, Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies, Ben Kowalewicz of Billy Talent, Adam Gontier of Three Days Grace, Sarah Harmer, Hawksley Workman, Darren Dumas of The Salads and Jason Collett of Broken Social Scene.

Help make this video go viral and take a moment to pass it around to friends, its a catchy song with an amazing message.

The video will be premiered on the screen on October 9th at 9PM during the Department of Culture's This is Not A Conservative Party at the Phoenix Theatre in Toronto.

Sponsored by the "You Have a Choice" music video will be available online to share from and Youtube.

And if you haven't already, please consider taking a moment and signing the pledge to vote smart and give the boot to Harper and the Conservatives:
