Happy Hanukkah! I don't celebrate xmas because it's pagan in origin and has done much harm to many people. xmas time isn't exactly a peaceful time of year anyway because people are often going nuts with greed, gluttony, living beyond their means, coveting, lying to kids and so on. It's rather sad actually. There are a few people that celebrate xmas in a way that is more peaceful, giving to the poor and helping the needy. I like to see people helping others. That makes me smile

So very true - unfortunately not too many people would agree these days. For most, it's all about getting worldly gifts. God gave us the most precious gift of all - His Son - and we must give Thanks for that. No other gifts are necessary.
